I woke up in the den and saw the light coming from it right in my eyes. I covered my eyes with my paw and gently took it away to see the beautiful view of outside the den. I could see flowers on the ground, the grass shining, and the sun bursting with light that was yellow, orange, and red.
I could see other dens outside of my den too. Yesterday, was a war we could never forgot.
My Mom and Dad was in the war, but everyone who was in the war is getting fixed up and taken care of. They haven't came back yet though, I don't know if their alive.
I have been staying with my aunt in her den. But she really isn't my aunt, she is my mothers best friend, Kaya, the medicine cat.

"Aunt Kel?" I asked nudging her neck.
"Yes Luna?" She asked turning over, yawning while saying yes.
"When will my mom and dad come back?" I asked her as I saw her light blue eyes twinkle with light from the sun.
"Hold on." She said while looking out of the den. She got up and walked outside and went to the front entrance of our camp.
I layed my head back down and waited for Aunt Kel to come back. It seemed like 10 minutes.
I then heard crying and whimpering.
Aunt Kel walked back into the den and her face looked so sad. I could sense sadness and anger all around her. I was afraid of why she was crying. Did something happen to mother or father?

"Luna, I'm sorry baby..." Aunt Kel said laying next to me." Your father has died saving your mother." She cried.
I froze. I couldn't even believe what she said. My eyes filled with tears and sadness. I put my head and Aunt Kels shoulder and whimpered.

"W-Where is mother?" I asked still crying so hard into her shoulder.

"She is safe, she should be coming back soon." She said as I lifted my head gently off her shoulder.

"O-Ok..." I said looking up at Aunt Kel with tears running down my face into my fur.

Aunt Kel then walked out of the den and then I was alone. I kept crying and whimpering until I got sleepy.
I don't want to sleep. I thought to myself as I layed my head on the ground. I tried not to close my eyes.
I didn't know how life would be without my father. How would mother react?

How would I get over it?

I asked all sorts of questions. Waiting for someone to just come into my den and tell me. But no one came in for a while before I closed my eyes.

I didn't know what happened after that. All I saw was blackness.
I saw a light a few feet away from me. I got up and looked at it for while. I saw a white cat standing there looking at me.

Father was there, and I ran so fast to him. When I got into the light, he was gone, and so was the light.

I looked all around trying to see if there was anything. But all I saw was pitch black everywhere.

I heard a light flick on behind me. I jumped around to see father in the light. I ran, once again, to the light. I was about 3 yards away from father until he walked into the darkness.
The light began to flicker.

"Luna? Wake up!" Yelled someone.
I looked up and saw mother and Aunt Kel and then, I woke up from the horrible dream.

I ran right to mother, who I could see right out of Aunt Kels den. Right as I hit her, I felt a sigh of relief run down my spine.

I looked up at her and I saw the tears in her eyes.

I ran out of Aunt Kels den into my family's den crying.

"Luna!" Yelled Mother as I was about to reach my den.

I didn't want to stop to respond to mother. I was too sad about fathers death.

I layed in a circle and cried my eyes out until mother slowly walked in.
I stopped crying and pretended to fall asleep.

"Luna, I know your not sleeping..." Mother said. I heard her paws steps coming towards me slowly. I kept my eyes shut tight until I felt soft fur rub against my skin.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at my mother.

"Your father died to save me, to save all of us..." Mother said slowly.
I put my head softly onto Mothers paws as I slowly closed my eyes in comfort. I felt like I was drifting away.

"Like you father said," She said as she looked down at me with her eyes twinkling with light from outside the den. "The light comes too soon..." She said drifting the words off.

I slowly felt warm, and cared for. I heard mothers heartbeat for a while, before I slowly fell into a deep sleep.
It was like I forgot that father has gone to the light.
The light comes too soon.

Hi Guys! The author here, and this is the first chapter of The Last Four Packs Remaining! A lot of my friends have read a few chapters and they said it sounds like Warriors!
I am truly not copying off of Warriors and the whole series. I do have Deputy and Leader and Medicine cat. But that is what I just thought of.
I am a huge fan of Warriors and if I accidently add something in here that seems like Warriors, I give all credit to Erin Hunter!
