I love when my friends are happy without me
They seem so free
without me clinging to their ankles
I am but dead weight, an anchorI love seeing them smile as I open the bird cage, and watch them soar out into the air, without me there to weigh them down
It's sad when they leave
But it doesn't matter
Because they're happy
And that's what's important
