Its been proven that it takes the brain 13 milliseconds to process information. That was just about the same timing it took Aisha to react to the deadly scene.

She burst forth and took down the nearest gunman by slamming his entire body to the ground. The next two also were caught off guard. Aisha checked him into the wall and caught him in the stomach with a quick knee. Before the other man could react, she leaped at him and grabbed his gun. She pulled it up and jammed into his face. He stumbled back and she pulled him back by his suit jacket. Aisha caught him with an elbow to the left cheek and he was out.

The gunman closest to the assassin was already turned around and prepared to shoot her. She thrust her hand out and literally increased his gravity. In the opposite direction. He slammed so hard against the ceiling he was instantly knocked out. Aisha turned her attention to the woman who hadn't so much as flinched at the noises. The lycan men were struggling less and less. Aisha raised her eyes and focused her energy on the orb. In a second, the water orb shattered and the water fell uselessly to the floor with its half-conscious prisoners.

The woman's hands dropped to her sides and she turned around. It was here that Aisha got a good look at her. The woman had tan skin. Her hair was a solid neon blue. It seemed to match her sky blue eyes. She was relatively slim with a very sharp face. She looked Aisha up and down and said in a mocking tone, "Lycan Cain's mate appears out of the shadows to make life even harder." Aisha glared at her as she clenched her fist. She began to charge forward but the woman was as quick and fluid as the element she seemingly controlled.

The woman lashed out with a whip of water and it coiled around Aisha's neck. The attacker then proceeded to lift Aisha into the air. She laughed as Aisha flailed violently and attempted to break free. Normally, something like this wasn't enough to stop her but for some reason, she couldn't focus. The woman in blue paused and held a finger to her ear. She seemed to be listening to something.

"I'm currently busy," she remarked dryly. She rolled her eyes and snapped, "I'm on the balcony level, handling the issue you said would arise". The woman looked at Aisha as she said this.

Aisha closed her eyes and she could feel her marks begin to activate further. This woman was tiring and she truly had no clue what she was dealing with. Aisha had heard rumors of the humans acquiring special abilities but this certainly wasn't the time to question it.

In an instant, Aisha teleported out of the woman's hold. She appeared gracefully on the carpet and proceeded to charge at the woman. The woman stumbled back, shocked, and Aisha tackled her. The woman hit the ground and Aisha flipped over and skidded back on all fours. Next to her lay one of the 3 Lycan guards, she leaned over and checked his pulse. Faint but still beating.

The woman was getting back to her feet. Aisha was going to have to end this. She rushed her again. The woman lashed out with another water whip, this one seemed to have a hook-like ending. Not today. Aisha side-stepped and kept her pace. She leaped at the wall on her right and launched off of it.  She spun and caught the woman square on her jaw with the oncoming foot. The woman screeched and Aisha followed up with a solid combo. One quick punch to the throat and head kick into the column facing the edge of the balcony was all it took.

Aisha reached out and placed two fingers on the woman's temple. Catherine Vorhix. That was her name. Aisha didn't have the time to pick up much else except the names of the other two assassins. Victor Rage and Selina Moore. It did seem that Victor was supposed to be the one the one to actually kill Cain while Catherine and this Selina were crowd control.

She didn't have much time to gather her thoughts as they were shattered by gunfire. Peering over the edge, she saw several groups of men firing into the air. Various screams were heard as the guests were corralled by smartly dressed men carrying a slew of firearms. Aisha spied a tall black woman in a beautiful black wrap dress walking across the floor. She was being escorted across the floor by several armed men. She held nothing but a small white sphere in her hand.
