<Don't attack me thanks>
Nar's parents were at the long ass dining table. It was probably longer than Nick's life span, which might be an understatement.
Nar's mother clapped in delight as she saw Nick emerged with fresh new clothes and with no sewage smell, she beckoned him to sit down and eat with them.
"That's really nice of you, but I can eat on the other side of the table if you want me to-" Nick laughed nervously. Nar's mother shook her head, "Nonsense, you wanted to be her bodyguard right? That means you have to sit as close to her as possible."
"The next thing I know, I'll be sleeping next to her too." Nick muttered quietly to himself, Nar snickered when she heard it but looked away so Nick wouldn't know she heard him.
The family and Nick ate in silence, the mood was really tense, like any moment Nar could stab Nick and her parents wouldn't even care. At least the food was ok, I'm not gonna write what the hell they ate because I personally don't give two shits about it. Just imagine a regular lunch or something.
Nick excused himself from the table, the tension was making it hard for him to even swallow and that was saying something since this was his first decent meal in a while. Nar also excused herself, which made Nick choke a little, he almost wanted to cry, she gestured Nick to follow her and he had no choice but to do as she says. Or he could jump out the window and die from the glass shards, but he wasn't that desperate.
"Why do you do this to me?" Nick sighed as he saw a familiar looking room, Nar just stuck her tongue out playfully and replied with a shrug. "I dunno."
Nick stuffed his hands into his pockets as they enter Nar's bedroom, a wave of memories hit Nick, when he was a wandering criminal, he slide his hand across the walls and looked at the window.
"I can tell we're gonna get along well, Nick." Nar sat on her bed cross legged. "Life was so boring before you came."
"You sound spoiled."
"I'm not though."
Nick rolled his eyes in a "yeah right" expression.
"I'm being honest, you were the best thing that ever happened to me in my life. I got to pin someone down without the fear of getting the consequences!" Nar fell back on her bed and placed her hands behind her head.
"You don't get bullied at school or something?" Nick sat on the ground beside the bed. "You could always pin your bullies down."
Nar adjusted herself and laid down on her side, facing Nick, "Some are too scared of getting sued. The most I got that falls under bully were notes and things like that."
"Notes like?"
"'Go home stupid' 'you're fat' 'your mom gay' the half ass kind of bully notes."
Nick stifled a laugh, Nar's lips curled a little. "The first time I actually talked about it, now that I said it, it is pretty funny huh?"
Nick popped his knuckles and nodded, "I use to go to school, back when...when..." Nick tilted his head, slightly confused. Strange, he couldn't remember the days before he became a criminal.
"When you were young?" Nar adjusted herself and laid on her belly, propping her chin on her folded arms.
"Yeah, I guess?" Nick hugged his knees, he looked intently at the ground, as if the memories were on the ground but too small to see.
"Why'd you become a bad person?" Nar asked curiously.
"I'll tell you when I trust you." Nick shot, Nar groaned in disappointment, but to be truthful.
He doesn't really remember.
