There was a loud knocking on the door, followed by a loud female voice. "OPEN THE DOOR BRITNEY, OPEN THE MOTHER FU-"
Nick rolled off the bed the moment he heard the knock, he was a light sleeper so if he was going to be attacked, he would be ready. He opened the door, rubbing his eyes. "Do you know what time it is?"
"No." Nar was hugging a pillow, her hair was in a mess and she was smiling sheepishly.
"It's...," Nick looked over at the clock, "1 am."
"You look adorable." Nar commented.
"Did you call me, at 1 am, just to tell me I look adorable in a white t shirt and shorts?" Nick's mind literally flew over the fact that Nar had complimented him, he was literally too tired for this.
"Yes." Nar smiled, hugging her pillow tighter.
Nick blinked and proceeded to close the door, Nar grabbed the side of the door hastily. "Wait wait no, I can't sleep."
"Have I ever mentioned that I hate you with every inch of my body and being to a point I want to off myself in this very basement?" Nick mumbled.
"Sorry?"
"Nothing." Nick coughed. "Just drink milk or something, I don't care. Just don't bother me."
"I tried, I can't sleep." Nar banged her head against the wall.
"...So?..." Nick raised an eyebrow.
"You dense heck, it means I want to sleep with you." Nar shot, then blushed. "That came out wrong."
Nick let out a frustrated groan before letting Nar in. "Just, stay on one side of the bed only."
"I could sleep on the floor y'know..." Nar sat on the ground.
Nick strolled over and sat on the bed. "If you insist." He fell over onto his pillow and closed his eyes.
Nar stared at him.
He smiled and got up a little, propping his weight on his arm and elbow. "I'm just kidding, but really, stay on one side of the bed or I shoot you."
"Thanks." Nar smiled softly as Nick made space for her.
"Sleep." Nick muttered and closed his eyes again.
Nar could literally see the line between her and Nick on the bed, the gap could almost fit one more person. She drummed her fingers on her chest before closing her eyes, the bed faintly smelled like her own shampoo and grass mixed together.
She turned and stared at Nick's back, this was all fun and games when it all started but now...it felt different. Her mind went into an intense train of thought, guess sleeping here wasn't working either.
Nar got up and hugged her knees, she felt so awake yet so tired, she just wanted to close her eyes and—
"Still can't sleep?" Nick turned around and looked at Nar, she nodded slowly. "Wanna listen to music and be angsty?"
"Get out of my mind Brit boy." Nar shifted away from him.
Nick reached for his phone, which Nar has gotten him a while ago, and plugged in the earphone jack before plugging one of the earbuds into his right ear and handed the other to Nar.
Nar lied back down and plugged in the earbud, soft ukulele and singing was playing. "Cavetown?"
"Angsty am I right?" Nick grinned, he snuggled up and relaxed.
Nar did the same and quietly stared at the ceiling as the music drowned away her thoughts. She closed her eyes.
When they woke up, they found themselves hugging each other, the earphones tangled and Nick's phone in between them. Nar's first thought was: "Where am I?" Nick's first thought was: "Who is this?"
Loading.
Nar screeched and fell off the bed, Nick went into a flustered mess and screamed into his hands.
Pretty much a great morning start.
