[Second Book] The Colony-Story of citizens

The Arrival

    At 12 pm on November 13, mysterious giant walls came down from sky, right on our loved Washington.

    As usually I was on the way from job, and just when I was almost home, I saw it. Everything  around me just went out, we were hit by some kind of super EMP attack, everyone started to freak out and then the walls just appeared from nowhere, sky was literally full of them and they were burning because of entering of the atmosphere, they were going down very fast and when they were in height of 30 feets above your heads, they slowed and their heat started to burn everything under it, I saw buildings, cars, roads, even people melted alive. It was terrible, even now I have nightmares. I will never forget these people, these people who were stuck under the walls, if they were not melted then they died by being smashed by the walls when they finally landed. People were screaming, shouting and running all around me.
    I wasn't able to call my wife Adalind or my daughter Kara due to EMP effect, luckily I was just 5 blocks from my house, so I started to run as fast as I could.
    In a couple of minutes, I was at the door of my house, and when I opened the door I saw Adalind sitting on the floor, holding Kara and crying. I came to them and told them what I had just seen, when I finished I hugged them and said to them to go  sleep, but I wasn't sleeping, no way. I went into my safe and grab one of my guns, Colt 1911.
    I loaded it and sat into a sofa, my only thought now was defence of my family, no matter what.
