Y/N's POV.
The scent of freshly washed bed sheets filled your nose, as it's soft material caressed your skin when you turned around. A comfortable warmth was surrounding you while a sort of soothing weight was on your forehead. There wasn't any sign of any kind of pain in your body, you only felt at ease in both your mind and soul. Just slightly confused.
Opening your eyes, you were met with a familiar ceiling. It was the guest room that you had been staying in for the past period of time. Reaching to touch your head, you felt something wet and soft being gently placed on your forehead. It turned out to be a wet cloth. But you didn't get to think much about it, before the door in the corner of the room suddenly opened slowly. It creaked a little bit as it opened a bit wider, and then the face of Jimin appeared in the now completely open doorway.
As soon as he saw that you was awake, his eyes lit up straightaway and he hurried over to the side of your bed. Carefully sitting down by your side, he gently cupped your face and his whole face seemed to be beaming with fondness as a wide smile appeared onto his plump lips. And if you wasn't mistaken, tears seemed to be lurking in the corner of his eyes as well.
"You're awake. I was beginning to think that I never would see those pretty eyes of yours look back at me again." his voice was tender as he spoke.
Thinking for yourself that you had been having the same thoughts earlier. But as you gazed up into his eyes, it was like all of your worries was like blown away. Your memories of what had happened before was a bit blurry, especially on some parts. But by just seeing Jimin sitting right next to you with no scars or bruises left on his soft skin, your body let out what felt like a sigh of relief.
"You silly, did you think I would leave you that easily?" you laughed, feeling tears threatening to fall as well behind your eyelids. "I'm just glad to see that you're safe."
Your words seemed to make Jimin just even more emotional than he already was, because a single tear rolled down his cheek as his grin only became wider. Before you knew it, he had leaned down and placed a soft kiss on top of your head and took your hands in his, and held them close to his chest.
"Stop doing that, you're making my heart ache! This isn't good for my image." he joked
"C'mon, you're a softie and you know it Jimin."
Jimin chuckled softly, gently removing the wet cloth from your forehead and dipped it in a bowl of water that stood on the bed side table. He then brought it back to you, and carefully patted your forehead with it. It felt soothing, and caused you to relax under his caring touch.
"Y/n listen." he began, pausing for a moment like he was hesitating on something. "I know that we have barely started to recover from these past events that happened, they scarred us all real good. And don't get me wrong, I really wanna stay here and take care of you. But I'm afraid that I can't do that right now."
Jimin avoided your eyes as soon as he had said it, not wanting to see your quite surprised reaction.
What did he mean with that, what could possibly be so important that he had to leave? You had thought that after all that had happened, now would be the time for you and Jimin to finally be able to spend time together. So why was he acting like this all of a sudden?
"I don't understand. Where are you going, and why can't I go with you?" you asked, staring at him and tried to catch his eye.
Biting his bottom lip nervously Jimin stood up from the bed, letting go off your hand. Not knowing what was going on in his mind in that moment, you removed the cloth and sat up, looking at him with a questioning look in your eyes.
"Take me with you Jimin, I mean it. Look I'm fine!" you gestured towards yourself.
You did actually feel a lot better. After that you had been sleeping for who knows how long, you felt like you had gained back all of your strength. And it seemed like they had been treating your wounds while you had been unconscious, because there was not a trail left of them, at least not what you could see. So in your opinion, there wasn't exactly a reason to why you wouldn't be able to go with Jimin on whatever it was that he had in mind.
"No, you'll stay here. I'm not risking your safety again." this time Jimin turned around and met your gaze. But his voice was determined and firm, reminding you of the one time when he had told you to stay in your room. It was the same kind of tone in his voice. "Now get back to bed, you still need rest."
He put a hand on your shoulder and gently pushed you to lay back down, but you didn't let him. Instead you pushed away his hand, and stood up facing him.
"Jimin I appreciate that you only want the best for me, but please I thought that we had already been through this. Stop hiding secrets for me, we can do this together. Please." you tried, trying your best to stay as calm as you could.
Unfortunately your words didn't seem to make it past the wall that Jimin seemed to have put up in his mind. He had made a choice and stayed true to his decision.
Leaning in towards you, he simply pecked your cheek before turning around and left the room. Leaving you with even more questions than before.

Jimin's POV.
"Taehyung-ah you know as well as me that I can't bring her, so just quit trying to persuade me because I won't change my mind." Jimin told his friend a while later as he paced up and down on the brown wooden floor, pulling a hand through his hair.
The two of them was currently in Taehyung's room. Tae himself was sitting on the edge of his bed, watching Jimin walk back and forth with concerned eyes. He had come barging into his room without any notice and buried his face into his shoulder, pouring out all of his worries and problems over Taehyung, who only had embraced him wholeheartedly. This wasn't a very rare occasion, since the two of them had always been coming to each other when they needed support. Their friendship had a strong bond, and there wasn't a secret that one of them didn't know about the other.
"But Jiminie, you aren't seeing it from her perspective. I know that you only want the best for her, but I think that this is something that you should take care of together. She's your soulmate after all, at least you have one you know." Taehyung said in his naturally deep voice, and gave him a gloomy smile.
Pausing in the middle of his pacing, Jimin gave him a sympathetic smile in return and sat down next to him. Giving his shoulder a encouraging pat, and then he said.
"Your time will come too bro, don't worry." then he let out a sigh and continued "And I see your point, but if I would bring y/n with me to our ancestors, then her and my life would be on the line. Remember they are all sirens of the older generation, they wouldn't understand and would never give her their blessing. That's why I gotta do this myself."
"True, but sometimes right isn't always the correct answer. Perhaps doing the complete opposite, may be the puzzle piece of what's missing."
