Hello my lovely readers!

As you can see, no this isn't the new update that you all have been waiting for. I'm sorry if it's taking a long time, but I have another thing that I really thought I would need to talk about, so please bare with me.

Earlier this year, the EU government brought up a new rule that they want to add for every country that's in the EU. And that is Article 13. I'm sure that most of you have probably already heard about this, but for those who don't know. It basically means that they want to censor everything that is under the law of copyright, with other words: Wipe out every fandom that exist.

If this law will go through, it would means that our communities would be in big danger. And yes, that would also mean that Wattpad is in the danger zone.

When I first heard about this earlier this year, I for some reason didn't think it would effect Wattpad. But after some reading, I have now realised that it indeed does. And it absolute terrifies me. To be honest, I don't know if I'm supposed to laugh or cry about this.

For me and many others, writing on Wattpad has been a big stress relief. A place where we could express ourselves while sharing our creativity with others who share the same passion as us. But if the law goes through, then everyone that lives in Europe, would probably not even be able to access this site. And that goes for everyone living outside of EU as well. Because sure, if you doesn't live in Europe it won't affect you. But that's where you're wrong.

Myself for example, I live in Europe. And if the laws would go through, then all of my books would be censored. No one, no matter where you live would be able to read them. And that's the scary part.

So what do I then ask you all to do? It's simple. Please go sign this petition, it already has over 3 million of people who has signed it. Every small voice counts (And yes you can also sign it if you aren't European). Please help save the internet that we all love!
