I dislike science with such a passion, goodness gracious. As I enter the class a wad of paper is shot right in front of me into the trashcan next to me. I look to see who threw it and see Josh sitting low in his chair with a sheepish look on his face.

His cheeks burn red as he says, "I'm sorry. I didn't see you there, Irene," I walk over to him and sit in the seat next to him.

"It's fine. I'm sure you didn't mean to. Did we have homework last night?" I ask, worried I’d forgotten.

"No, thank god. I wouldn't have had the time to do it because of practice."

Then I had an idea, "Josh, what's your middle name?"

"Daniel. Why?" He says.

"Oh, no reason." I say with disappointment. Josh is a good guy if it was him, I would be happy. Maybe it's Milo. Or Johnnie. Honestly, they are both really good guys. One’s quiet and the other has been wrongly stereotyped.

"Do you know what we're doing today?" I ask, changing the subject.

"I don't know, maybe osmosis." He says with a shrug of his shoulders. "Josh, why would we do osmosis again?" I say with a 'really' look on my face. He shrugs his shoulders once more, "Review?" I laugh loud, everyone turns backward and stares at me. Oh, class started. Oops.

"Sorry," I say loudly. I look up at the board and see our bell work. Fight or Flight response.

"Told you" I whisper to where only he can hear. I smile at him. My eyes start to droop and I lay my head down, as I fall asleep. As the bell rings, my head shoots up. With a dazed look on my face I say, “Wha—?” Oh goodness. I fell asleep. I turn to my right to see Josh still there with a lazy smile on his face.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" I ask in a sharp tone, suddenly mad.

"The last words you said to me were and I quote 'Told you.' and plus you looked so peaceful," He says with that stupid lazy smile on his face which is, as of now, a smirk.

"And I'm about to be so unpeaceful. I missed all of the class even the bellwork," I say, thinking about all the work I'm gonna have to make up for today.

"It's ok. I have all the work copied twice, once for you, once for me. I don't want you getting behind. Especially not with your current class rank," I look to him as if he's a god as he says those words.

"Oh goodness, I can't thank you enough. Would you like a favor in return?" I say with gratitude in my voice.

"Maybe later, hazel. I'll let you know," He says with a remark about my hair color.

"My names Irene and thank you again," I say with a soft voice.

"No problem, hazel. See you tomorrow," I roll my eyes and laugh at his nickname.

"See you, blondie." I say in a mocking tone.
