"So, I'll see you in a week. Same time, same place?" I say, grinning widely. 'I get to spend time with him, every week until I have a B average, isn't that wondrous?', I think to myself dazily, as I walk out of the door. I start down the hallways, heading towards the front doors. I'm done for the day, thank god. Once I get to the front door I see Ashley and Landry waiting for me, next to the only car in between the three of us. "Hey guys, thanks for waiting, y'all ready?" I say heading around to the side of my 2018 impala.

BUZZ BUZZ. H'mm, I wonder who that is? 'Oh my gosh,' I think. What if it's Baby? The sudden shock of even thinking his name sends shivers down my spine, that I can, soon, feel in my toes. I jump towards the bed and see it is him. EEEEEK. 'Hey, princess. I heard happy days didn't work out the other day. I'm sorry I was looking forward to seeing you there.' Was he there? 'Were you there?' I ask him... edging an answer out of him. 'No way, princess, I skipped out after I heard you weren't going.' he says, as if he's proud of himself for being loyal to me. 'Can we talk tonight, over the phone, maybe?' I stick myself out there by asking this question, hope for a positive response and not rejection. 'I don't know princess. We talk often so you could probably pick my voice out of a line up.' No, c'mon, really. 'Please, I've been forgetting lots lately. I'm pretty sure I've acquired short-term memory loss.' I plead with him just to talk. 'I know for a fact, princess, that you don't have short-term memory loss. Otherwise you would've already forgotten my name. But sure.' Oh my goodness he said yes. Well sure, technically, but still. A sudden succession of shrill rings cut my happy after-party in half. I wait to pick up, not wanting to seem clingy. "Hello," I say into the microphone. "Hey, princess." "What's up with princess?" "Well, to me, you are worthy of much more than being a princess. But I have a feeling that that's all you'll accept." "You'd be correct. And if I'm a princess, what are you? My prince?" "I'm not worthy of sitting in a throne equal to yours, I am but a humble servant. Ready to acquire to your every need." "Slow down, handsome, I don't even know your real name. I wish you would tell me." "I'm sorry but this is the way it has to be for the time being." "I know, but that can't keep me from wishing. We've been talking for a total of two days now and I can already tell, I feel something for you I've never felt before." "That means more to me than you know, princess. Thank you." "For what?" "Staying..."
