As I walk into the luminous café, I squint to readjust my eyes to the difference in lighting.

It's a moderately aesthetic place, I mean, the pink cushioning doesn't match the blue tiling, and the trimming isn't pristine, but it's somewhat cute, for a café anyways.

I feel a pair of eyes dissolving my skin, causing me to turn towards the being causing this 'sensation'.

Low and behold, I have found the culprit. A pretty blond, with a banging figure in that work attire, may I add.

My tongue laps over my lips as my hand combs down my freshly permed hair.

"One second and you already got them, damn it man!" Brian titters whilst his robust frame slams itself down onto the booth's cushion.

I sit down to the left of him with a throaty chuckle escaping from my lips. I earn a roll of the eyes from my guard as I lean side to side, inspecting if the cushion is damaged for good.

Once I feel the teasing is enough- I quit, I have better people to tease. My gaze returns on to the girl who's captured my attention.

She leans over the desk, receiving orders from costumers. The multiple glances in my direction proves that she is paying minimal attention to anyone but me. I bet she is going to mess their orders up so bad, ain't no one going to come around here no more, just me, but instead of asking for coffee, I'll be begging for some cream.

The lady in pastel blue and pink work attire turns to the coffee machine, and conveniently enough, her back side is on display.

I prop myself up- into a squatting position to see better, this earns myself a swat from Brian. I return him a disapproving stare. "What?" I question with a snap.

"You're not being subtle at all, man" he chuckles in a wavering tone as my stare threatens him.

I loosen my stare and flash a smile, he laughs awkwardly, in turn. "Sometimes it's not good to be subtle, man" I turn back onto the woman behind the counter.

"Yea? Why's that?"

"Some women like to get it how it is, ya know?"

"I don't even understand what that means.."

I turn to him with a tight lipped smile. "And that's why you're not married and single at 36" with that, I stand to my feet and walk towards the line of costumers. I can hear Brian's scoff as I walk off, but it only amuses me more.

Being that there is only one person in front of me, I can't go unnoticed, and she proves this to me. Her pace quickens as she creates the man before me a latte. A smirk grows on my face at her eagerness.

"Hello, what can I get you?" Her cheeks are flushed, and it is overwhelmingly cute.

"Oh nothing from the menu, just you" our gaze continues before she breaks from it with a chuckle of embarrassment. "I mean, to talk to you, of course" I play off innocently.

"I don't think I can just chat at the register like this" she smiles bashfully as she peers at her fellow co-workers.

"An early break then, hm?" I lean on to the counter and the pretty lady shuffles backwards.

"I- I don't know.." she drags on her unsure tone as loose blond strands behind are tucked behind her ear.

"Fine..," I chortle at her nervous behaviour. "I'll wait till your shift is over, then." That seems to catch her attention, for her jaw drops slightly.

"Really?" Her voice cracks in shock.

The sound of chimes fill the place, signalling that the entrance has been opened. She looks towards the sound, but I don't pay it much mind.
