Stephanie's POV

The storm wasn't seeming to go away. It was 12am now, everyone else was asleep but me. I was staring outside, watching the lightening flash before my eyes. It was soothing. Today was an emotional roller-coaster and I needed something to calm me down. I wasn't overly tired either so I wasn't planning on sleeping anytime soon, plus if I was to go back on the beanbag I'd wake Zach up. I started at another flash of lightening, it lit up the entire room. I hear slight movements from behind me, Zach was getting up. I assumed the lightening woke him up. He came down and sat next to me and I shuffled closer to him, resting my head on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" He whispers. "Yeah, just thinking" I whisper back, pulling myself closer to him, burrowing my head in his neck. I don't know much about peace, but whatever it is, I felt it with Zach. I felt safe when I was with him, like I could take on the world. It was insane the connection we made in such little time. We cuddled and watched the lightening for what felt like five minutes but before we knew it, we could see the sun starting to rise, every so slightly through the extremely dark clouds. I was too tired to get up but I could tell Zach was ready to fall asleep. "C'mon, let's go lay back down" he whispers in my ear. I hum ever so slightly and he lets out a faint chuckle and picks me up bridal style, taking me back to the beanbag.

I woke up a few hours later to find we lost power. Jordan and Kayla were already awake but they were just laying together. "Good morning" Jordan whispers when we make eye contact. I let out a tired sigh. "morning" I whisper. Zach was starting to stir in his sleep so I gently removed his arm off of my waist and get up. I head to the kitchen and get a bottled iced coffee from the fridge. I hear a knock on the apartment door, which woke everyone else up. I head over and open the door. "Hello Stephanie, just thought I'd check up on you with the power outage" Tom said. Tom was the landlord and he was incredibly nice to me and Jordan. "Good morning Tom, we are alright. We had a couple of friends stay the night because they couldn't get home" I reply. He gives a gentle nod. He was in his 50s but still tried to keep friendships with every tenant. "That's fine, I don't mind if you have friends over, you're very respectful with the noise level" He exclaims. I thank him for checking up on us and let him know Kayla was with us and not next door. He thanks me, and continues to check up on the other tenants.  I walk back to the living and everyone was awake and talking with each other. They were discussing borrowing Jordans clothes as they have been wearing the same thing since their shoot two days ago. Jordan showed them all to his closet and left me and Kayla to talk. "So you and Zach huh?" she giggles, wiggling her eyebrows. Kayla was only 18, which made it so easy for us to be friends. She moved to LA from Chicago to pursue modelling. She was gorgeous, perfect height and long blonde hair. "You have no idea, I haven't even known him long but I feel so safe with him, like I could do anything. I've never met someone who gave me the feeling that Zach does" I say shyly, fiddling with my hands in my lap. "Steph that's adorable. You guys are so cute together honestly" She beams. I blushed and gave her a soft smile. The boys all emerged from Jordans room, ending our conversation. They all had similar style to Jordan so it wasn't a big deal.

Zach's POV

I was about to walk back into the living room when I hear Kayla and Steph talking, so I silently listened in. "You have no idea, I haven't even known him long but I feel so safe with him, like I could do anything. I've never met someone who gave me the feeling that Zach does" she says, fiddling with her hands. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I knew the second Logan told us about her that I wanted to make her mine, I just can't believe it could actually happen. The other boys finished so we started heading back to living room, causing Kayla and Steph to end their conversation. She stands up and comes over and hugs me and I plant a kiss on her forehead. "What are we gonna do today? The storm hasn't cleared, I think it actually got worse" Corbyn says, staring out to the almost black clouds. It was bucketing down rain and hail, with jolts of lightening every 10 seconds. "Does cellphone service work? I was meant to be working with Clevver today" Stephanie says, leaving my arms to go get her phone. She briefly types something then heads back to my arms. "Service barely works, another rainy day" she sighs and burrows her head into my chest. "We can play board games I guess? Steph and I have heaps" Jordan suggests. It's not like we could do much else. We all agree so Steph pulls me to a cupboard to help her grab a pile of games. We all sit in a circle in the middle of the floor and discuss how teams are gonna work for a game of Uno. "We could do the same beanbag arrangements? It's easier to work out" Kayla laughs. Everyone agrees and everyone goes into their pairs. Stephanie comes and sits in my lap and shows us our cards.
