#by sapanaThese roses reminds me something, something which is more important, precious and....
Moving to through the garden gazing at the horizon, waiting to break the dawn was something which always reminded me about my mom, as every morning she used to pluck fresh flowers to offer God. She was religious and always prayed for goodwill of our family. Every morning she used to cuddle me to wake up, sometimes I felt lazy or sometimes I played tantrums not to wake up so early in the morning. But she knew very well about my weakness....The smell of coffee always made me happy.
Hsss..... Hsssss..........
It smells good............ .
Mom please...... A bit later I would have it, let me sleep now.Splash.. ....
Splashhh........" wake up my jhansi ki Rani we are already late for college ".
"What the hell was that"? Divya with bucket in her one hand and the other on her waist stood in front of me. With frown on my face I too Stood,
"now who's gonna save you from the devil like me" I muttered .
She ran fast throwing the bucket towards me, in a rush I missed the catch, slipped and dashed on the floor.
"Oye dramebaaz! Kya hua fisal gae, Ho jae race kitchen tak, Jo haara coffee Usko banani padegi ". She challenged me, in hurry I tried to stand again slipped hardly, groaning in pain little louder to which Divya ran fast towards me and was concerned about the injury as last night too I got beauty bandages, and was still in pain.
I took the advantage and dragged her on the same place where I was. She with shocked face understood my grin, holding tightly her arms I stood straight and ran as fast as I could. She kept chasing and shouting "teacher teacher teacher" I halted turning laughing at her "no I am not a cheater" she spatted in anger "cheater cheater cheater".
I was at the kitchen waiting, panting so hard with both hands on her waist she stood and was about to complain, suddenly matron aunty started scolding her " Divya, this is not the way to wake up somebody, its bad manner " standing behind matron aunty I teased her. She was shocked to see the drama how I learned aunty against her. "Aunty you're always partial to me, you always switch to her side". I waited for her to make coffee, all of a sudden aunty to ordered one cup for her. I couldn't control myself, just bursted out loudly, with fumming anger she was there to prepare coffee.
After a while on dinning we three enjoyed coffee still Divya in angry mood, I moved out of chair and hugged and caressed her from back.
"I love you Divya you are my best friend and and... I love your coffee, so I dragged you on the floor, just to have a coffee made by you" we hugged each other and the matron kept smiling and blessing both of us.
Standing at stall and giggling with friends and making sipping sound of coffee instead of being inside the huge cafeteria nearby it was daily routine of we girls. Rushing to the bus stop, teasing each other and especially mimicking each other was the special part of our journey from here to college. Daily during class timing yawning in the midst, eyeing each other about the lectures was not less than a fun. During evening while returning, finding home in each other was soothing each one of us in the group of 5.
Divya, Rhea, Jennifer, Sofia and me Nandani were like "hum Panch". We all were from same hostel and we know each other too, we all were good at our subjects but I was more interested in collection of artifacts, rare gems, cards, stamps and many other things which always makes me feels happy and was least bothered at studies, or I may work for any NGO instead if got the chance, so I used to bunk my classes. Our matron was kind hearted person but when she learns about my skipping of classes, she especially bakes cake and eagerly feeds to all of them depriving me of it, as I love cakes baked by her.
