I woke early to attend the morning class and happiness gushed inside just at the of these fresh flowers at the flower shop on my way.
These flower always reminded me about Nandani, she always seemed fresh like them. I bought a bouquet of daffodils with me and kept on the table in my room. I took a shower, got dressed and left for college.
In the college I waited for Nandani, but she didn't show up, I attended the class and went to the canteen.
"She might be in the library to return some books". Divya informed about Nandani. I turned to walk towards library, our coach Mr. Dhillon called me to discuss about the inter college tournament of football. Today onwards we had to start practicing. As whole team got ready in their dress, I too went to get dressed in it.
We were on the ground with two teams of different streams of our college. My team was at lead of 3-1. In five minutes of break I changed to my new sneakers and a applauding sound caught my attention. I turned to see a guy with jeans and t-shirt missed the penalty. I couldn't recognize him. Few audience were there to cheer us. My heart fluttered to see Nandani in the same.
Now I was energized to win the game
Just at her smiling face. I got penalty to hit the ball, just with skipping sound of my heart, I closed my eyes to see the beautiful smiling face of Nandani and I hit the goal. With happiness my teammates scooped and threw me up in air unexpected. With heavy breath I insisted to put me down. Audiences applauded with hooting sounds. My eyes and my heart was only pacing to find Nandani in them. But she didn't show up.
I asked Divya to convey my message to her. Same day I was at the college gate waiting for my friend to had some more equipments for the other games.I drove the bike and he seated back. I learned from him that some guy met Nandani during the practice hours, giggling, chatting and exchanging their glances. My mood veered with fuming anger, I drove bike to the highest speed as I can.
I got some beer to cool down my nerves, I can't just flush out the thought of Nandani with other guy.
I was in my room, pacing to and fro, doing push-ups at one moment screaming hard at my own reflection at the other. Veins of my neck popped out with redness on my face. Eyes looking like burning fireball, I couldn't control myself and hit my hand on the wall.
Pain in my chest was much more than the bleeding knuckles. I was breathing hard to get rid of that craving.....
Oh God! please help me. I don't wanna be a beast again. She's like Princess in my life, just like in a fairy tale. I want to protect her from this evil world crowded by the demons.
Oh God! Pleaaase.....
Where's that packet I need it.
I rushed to the almira's scattered all the things in the room, but I found none of it. I searched all the tiniest place where I could hide them.
Aah... Remembered, the day I snatched the packet from Nandani..
Nandani Nandani Nandani .....
l would be mad ..
I ran to my bathroom to look at the mirror and slided it. Yes I found that packet.
"Aarymaan you shouldn't do that "
I flinched at the voice, "Nandani! Are you there? Stop this hide and seek, I'm not liking it.
She stood aside me tapping my shoulders, I turned and moved to take her in my embrace but...
She was real in my figment, so flawless.
Shiver ran down the spine as I imagined her with that guy. Once I find that asshole would cringe him to death. I took the packet with trembling hands and made line's to sniff it.
Dizziness entrapped me, I passed out cuddling and kissing her in my dreams.
The day I remembered, prepared myself to bear the boring lectures just to have a glance of her.
Listening to her giggles I learned about her acrophobia. For the first time in life I dared to jump in bungee jumping just to get her attention.
Luckily I learned dancing during different activities conducted at rehab. I grabbed the opportunity to dance with her to which she was quite impressed.
Daffodils were her favorite as she never forgot to buy these flowers every sunday to offer them in temple in the memory of her mom.
It was sunny day with breathtaking view of the city, instead of moving in car I chose to drive bike to reach hostel.
