Six months later

Nandani

Rays peeping through the blinds making me close my lids tightly. I covered my face with duvet and felt a sweet smell. A fragrance tangling on nostrils made me to blink,  blink and blink to a red rose on bed beside me.

Enveloping myself in the coverlet I sat and took the rose to smell it and was amazed to see the bouquet of daffodils of different colors in my room. I was happy to see the daffodils. I walked out of the room ushered by paper note pasted on the bouquet, down the stairs in the living area, and saw bunches of different roses making it wonderful and look like heaven.

Buttonholes were arranged in heart shape with a smiley on a paper note at the middle.

I reached to pic and red it.

"Happy birthday Nandani "

"Good morning, hope u liked the daffodils as you always."

With direction on it I went to the dinning to see breakfast plattered for me. Reaching to the kitchen counter to get some coffee, another note on faucet door made me smile.

"Surprise is waiting for you in your bedroom ".

I sprinted to my room in search of gift. I glanced it at the vanity table wrapped in decorative paper. It was awesome dress in red with matching jewellery and of course another note for my surprise.

"Today we were supposed to attend wedding party, be ready sharp at six."

Swaying the dress on me I took glimpse of my own reflection I felt to be very cheerful.

I was just fiddling my fingers on the remote to watch something interesting. I watched some movies on Netflix just to kill the time rather.

I got dressed in red lehnga with hairs in bun, tinted mascara for heavy eyelashes look and gloss on my plump lips to look luscious. I looked once again on my reflection as I was nervous like hell to face him.

With a sound of honk I ran down to open the door, and....

A man dressed in black suit with black shades to cover his gaze stood there.

"Robert ?"

"Ma'am, sir would directly reach at the party after the closing the deal within an hour."

I twisted my lips and rolled my eyes, grabbing my lehnga I walked to take my clutch, Robert opened the gate to passenger seat and I slipped inside.

"Beautiful roses for the love of my life." with smiling face I hugged the bouquet of roses smelling the fragrance of it..

I reached the party to be welcomed by a young lady,

"Hello ma'am" she forwarded her hand to shook.

"This is Rachel."

She ushered me to the dance floor to have fun with some of the unknown couples. My eyes kept searching for him every corner of it. I kept dancing, giggling and laughing with them.

Suddenly the music stopped and deafening sound of tapping on the mic drew attention of all.

"Hello everyone " a familiar voice stunned me to follow the source.

"I would like to introduce Nandani the wonderful person I ever met."

I was curious to see him, a couple of hands wriggled around my waist and with thunderbolt he hugged me from my back.

I knew the man who he was. He stood in front pecked on my forehead cupping my face.

My eyes roamed from his head to toe,
A deadly gorgeous man dressed up in white Sherwani, flawless skin with stubble on his face.

With a rose and a velvet box he knelt

"Will you be my better half"

"I would love to grow old with you "

I couldn't imagine he would propose me like this way. I was supposed to attend wedding of his friend but....

He waited for my answer.

"Nandani I can't hold more on my knees." he chuckled

"Yes Mr. Manik malhotra I would love to marry you and would love to die in your arms. "

"Shhh..... hhhh"

"We had to go long long in hand in hand. "

With finger on my lips he shushed me.

Winking with smiling face he stood and shovelled me. Holding me higher up to his waist, made two three swirl. Slowly he slided me down and before I could cry he kissed me.

"You made me the happiest man on this planet "

He took me in his embrace and I felt like home in him.

Manik

It took a long time earn her trust after that incident which broke her in zillions. She started hallucinating Aarymaan, harming her. She used to scream in her dreams. Her mental condition was worsening day by day. I arranged all medical facilities at my mansion in New York instead of keeping her in asylum. My love and my care would be more effective than those sedatives and tranquilizers. I was determined because I loved her.
being so loquacious she always mum. I want her back in my life as the bubbly Nandani I met.

Clasping her hands in mine, with all rituals we exchanged rings.

It was a dream comes true, the person you love, you get along with them forever. She always believed in happily ever after and today we were together and no one could apart us till death.

She always talked about broken stars and today my all wishes turned to reality. We were on the terrace of the mansion designed with modern amenities, mini garden ,swimming pool and a bar. We lay down on the artificial grass to exchange glances of each other. She pillowed my arm under her head. Other one hand on my chest she looked into my eyes.

"I love you Manik "

I could feel the pain in her eyes, as the blow on her head she literally flushed her memory including me she couldn't recognize me. It was so terrible to bear the pain and to see her miserable.

I don't even want her to remember about her past, a horrible dream, the day she reminisced me from her memory it was like a new birth of my Nandani, a miracle. Each month the same day I celebrated her birthday.

I kissed her like never before, I was craving for it. She stood still. I pulled her closer in my arms.

"Kiss me nandani " tears dribbling down her cheeks, she smiled and kissed me with equal fervour. This was the passionate kiss we ever made.

I waited for her to take a move, not forcibly but with her consent. Light weighted like feather I felt, as I took her in my arm and striding fast reached in our bedroom. I slided her down and she ran towards the window to show me the full moon. I felt blissful to see the simper on her face. With finger pointed towards the sky she directed me see the broken star.

She closed her eyes to beseech some wishes. I enveloped her in my arms to make her wish real. I turned her, to mingle our breathe, so close ever before, and took a vow never ever I would leave her.

"I choose to love you in silence...

For in silence I find no rejection...

I choose to love you in loneliness...

For in loneliness no one owns you but me..

I choose to adore you from a distance

For distance will shield me from pain..

I choose to kiss you in the air...

For the wind is gentlier than my lips..

I choose to hold you in my dreams...

For in my dreams, you have no end...
