The First Month

Today marks my first month into year 11 and I decided that I really wanted to document all the good and bad parts of the year. So...here's the run-down.

I'm quite proud of my progress so far. I try my best to revise a few times a week when I get home from school and I'm attending as many extra classes as I feel I need to at this stage. I'm completing loads of practise questions to the best of my ability (something I thought I'd despise but I'm quite enjoying it under limited-pressure circumstances). I'm so glad that I've been able to develop a healthy study habit from so early on in the year. I feel complete I guess. Just wait for a couple months down the line when I tell you that I slept through an entire physics unit and forgot to do the homework for the 1000th time.

So far, I seem to be getting on with most of my teachers. My English teacher is the head of department and has made things so much clearer for me and I'm so happy to have her. Although my science classes seem boring, the information seems to be staying in my head a lot better than it did with my previous teacher (if you know me in real life, there's no surprise there. we did not get along at all). I have always adored my maths teacher. She teaches with so much enthusiasm and always make sure we are calm in our working environment. Most teachers are pretty shit at that. I don't get on with my history teacher so well however. I want my old teacher again. Like, I really want her back. She seems to rush and makes this topic seem so confusing. Oh well... guess I'll be learning from a CGP revision guide all year. Also, her name sounds like a fucking Italian restaurant or ice cream parlour. I'M SERIOUS!

The last month has been slightly stressful regardless. People have been falling out (my group is pretty problematic), falling ill and none of us have really been at the top of our game. As well as revising for compulsory GCSE exams, I had the stress of my cadet operational first aider course. Now that it's finally over, I can focus on working non-stop towards the grades I deserve.

So, that's pretty much all for now. My next two Thursdays consist of an open evening for my little sister and my first of many parent's evenings. I'll let you know how they go. see ya soon fellow GCSE victims.
