what's that childhood song?

rain rain go away?

yeah,

i remember that one too.

sometimes when i hear it,
it brings me peace. relaxation. restfulness.

but sometimes when i hear it,
it brings me sadness. loneliness. regret.

the light tapping on the windows,

the drips on the wood,

it covers such a large area.

instead of just one spot.

but it drains me,

drains my energy...

i just want to stare at it,

and soak it in.

stand outside, let them all hit me.

with my arms out wide,

letting the drops all come to me.

and feel the cool little bits touch my skin,

delicately, with pressure,

however.

but the old man, is not snoring.

because he's doing just as i am,

enjoying the rain.

out of his window.
