Chapter 10 : The end

It's being a years that Alice and her group left the capital to come back to the Covent HQ. The merge went well and now alot more human and monster are mixing together on each Kingdom. There is still small hostility there and there but they manage to adapt the law so it's would be fair for both side. What happen between Gaster and Alice? Well thing went down fast a year ago between them.

Last year, Ariel told Alice that she is married to Gaster and is with a child from him. Alice didn't believe what she just said. Ariel feel bad but she deserve the truth. Not she have any malice about it but she didn't want her to be left on the cloud over that matter. Alice was in shock, sad but also angry. She left the shop and fly back to the Castle. She didn't want to believe it but if what Ariel said is true... then that's mean that Gaster being lying to her all this time and never plan to tell her about it. Tears start to form on the corner of her odds eyes. She land of the top of the building of the Castle and try to regain her calm, but each time she thought about Gaster, she remember what Ariel said. She was starting to be depress when she thought about it. She shook her head and decide to confront Gaster. She land down and end up startle some people that was walking. She apologies and went toward the lab to Gaster's office. She knock the door and hear him said to come on in. As she enter and close the door, she saw Gaster smile at her with a look full of love. Alice soul feel hurt seeing him looking at her like that. She feel like she have no right to receive his love and that she stole this love from his wife. She didn't hear Gaster going near her and talk until he put a hand on her shoulder that she snap out of her thought.

"Alice... Are you ok? Something happen during your round?" Gaster said worry. She didn't know what to said or do but tears came out of her odds eyes and Gaster was about to pull her in a hug but was stopped of what Alice said next.

"It's that true...?" She said. Gaster was confuse of what she was talking about.

"What is true, sweetcheeks?" He said. She took a sharp breath trembling but try her best to not become a crying mess.

"It is true that you are actually married?!" She said looking at him angry. Gaster took a back when she said that. How does she know?! I make sure she would never know! He thought panicking.

"Alice... Let me explain.." he was cut off by Alice as she look away from him.

"Do you think it was fun to play with my feelings and the feelings of your wife?! I cannot believe you lied!" She said more angrier.

"Alice let's go somewhere where we can talk please!" Gaster said trying to grab her arms. She manage to dodge one of her arms but he get one of them. He pull her closer to him as he teleport to the hills with the tree and gazebo. Alice feel a little bit dizzy but when Gaster try to help she push him away. She was back at him holding herself with tears flowing out of her eyes. Gaster didn't know what to do but he keep his distance from her. His soul was hurting and was scare that if he doesn't said or do something... He will lost her forever. After a crying silent, Alice start talking again.

"Why?... Why did you lie?" She said not turning around to look at him. Gaster didn't know how to start but after a moment.

"I wanted to forget... Forget that I was married." He said sigh. She glance at him from behind with a bitter laugh.

"Forget that you were married? You cannot forget something like that doctor, especially when your wife is pregnant." She said bitter. Gaster feel hurt but know what she said was true.

"I know it's sound like I was running away from the reality but trust me Alice! My feelings for you are more real than my whole marriage." Gaster said putting a hand of where his soul is. She sigh and turn around to face Gaster. The skeleton man couldn't help but feel hurt with what he saw. She was full of tears, her posture was hostile and her odds eyes look at him with anger and betray.
