"Toothbrush, toothpaste, money, cellphone, passport, clothes. Did I miss anything?"
"How 'bout food? I know you can buy somewhere, but just grab some here. And dress...normally, not too glamorous, you don't want to attract attention." said my best friend Jade. I had called her earlier to help me with my plan to run away.
"How do you know all these things?" I asked her, "It's like you've done it before."
"Actually oui, I've done it enough times. When I'm going to meet someone and I don't want to be... recognized." she said, blushing a little.
"Rendezvous with a man, I bet. Who's he? Someone I know?"
"N–no. I mean there's no man, or i–if there is y–you wouldn't know him. Well, um, there's no guy–man—" Jade stuttered.
"Y'know what? I f you don't what to tell me it's okay, I can totally tell there's a guy and that your keeping him a secret, just...be careful, okay?" I said, grabbing her shoulders.
"Okay, thanks. You should finish packing, your mom'll be back soon." Jade said, relived. She grabbed the zipper of my suitcase and zipped it closed. "Your all set. Just change your clothes, here." She handed me jeans, a white shirt and a gray sweater along with a pair of boots.
"Thanks."
"Pas de problème."
I went to the bathroom with the clothes she handed me. Wiping my face clean of make up only to reapply again but more lighter. Suddenly I heard Jade pounding on the door.
"Becca! She's here!"

You guys would know more about Becca's mother and why she wants to leave her on the next chapter! And you might meet Mr. Matthews on the next chapter too! I'll try to post the next chapter tomorrow, cause after that, I'm gonna be busy! Tomorrow my school has an incoming football game! And I'm in COLORGUARD, so I'm going to perform. The next day I'm going on my best friend's( @PERSON_123 ) little sister's birthday party. And on Sunday I'm participating on Disneylands Marathon. And TUESDAY is my first day of SCHOOL! So wish me luck! I will really try to get the next chapter up by TOMORROW! I owe it to you guys. Wait, I just might update on MONDAY. :)
