You riffled through your closet while trying to balance your phone between your cheek and shoulder. Occasionally you would find a possible contender and throw the outfit on your bed where there was already a pile of clothes. Nothing stood out and you had no idea what to wear.

"Jack getting dressed would be a lot easier if you just told me where we're going." You told him and pushed your hair away from your face as you grabbed another shirt.

"Well if you want I could change our plans and you wouldn't have to wear anything at all," he joked making you roll your eyes, "it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you. Just dress casual."

"Thanks babe you're so helpful." You said sarcastically and put the phone on speaker to change. You ended up choosing a flowy red top, mostly because you know how much he loves red on you, with a pair of black skinny jeans.

"That's what I'm here for. I'll be there in a few minutes I just turned into your neighborhood." He told you making you glad you decided to put your makeup on and do your hair earlier. Rushing, you threw on a pair of shoes and grabbed your purse.

"Okay I think I'm ready. I'll see you in a few minutes, love you." You told him hanging up after he said his goodbye. You checked your appearance for the last time, fixed your hair, and headed to the living room wanting to get to the front door before your brother. As soon as he got to the door you opened it with a smile; you did nothing to cover the fact that you were obviously checking him out. His hair was more curly than usual so you assumed he got it done again and you could tell he put a lot more effort into his appearance than usual, and in his hand, were your favorite flowers. Even though this was far from your first date your stomach was still filled with butterflies and you wondered how he still had this effect on you.

"You look, beautiful." He told you leaning in for a chaste kiss before handing you the flowers with a soft smile. You couldn't help but smile at how cute he was before you took the flowers and put them in a vase.

"Happy anniversary babe. You look handsome per usual." You told him as you walked back to the door by him. As you walked over he was leaning against the doorway checking you out.

"I'm not sure how you've survived six months with me." He responded with a grin.

"I'm hanging in there." You joked causing him to roll his eyes before you kissed his cheek.

"So, are you going to tell me where we're going yet?" You asked closing the door behind you two and following him out to his car where he rushed to your side to open the door for you, "such a gentleman."

"Only the best for my girl, and nope still not telling you." He told you as he got in the driver's seat. He laced his fingers with yours and gave you a soft smile as you started messing with the stereo. Finally finding a song you liked you dramatically sang along while dancing as much as possible with the limited space in the car causing him to laugh at you.

"Why are you like this?" He asked you with a chuckle as he switched his gaze from the road to you for a secong.

"You love me." You responded knowingly causing him to roll his eyes but you could see the small smile on his lips.

"I do." He told you and traced patterns on your hand before shooting you a quick smile. You briefly wondered how you were lucky enough to have him.

After a while of driving the two of you arrived at the building you immediately recognized the neon green and purple sign hanging in the front 'Bobo's Laser Tag.'

"Okay this first part might not be as romantic and I promise I have more in store after this," he said unbuckling his seatbelt and rushing to your side to open the door for you, "but this is where we used to always go in middle school, and where we had our first kiss long before we started dating."

He was rubbing the back of his neck while he was speaking, his telltale sign that he was nervous. It was adorable to you that even after all this time he still worried about impressing you, but the truth was you could stay at home and watch Netflix and it wouldn't matter to you as long as you were with him.

"Babe I love it, let's go." You reassured him before linking your hands and pulling him towards the building reminding you of all your after-school trips here in middle school. Giddily you dragged him through the line and into the arena area. The two of you were easily the oldest there, everyone else ranged from six to twelve.

"You ready to kick some small children's asses?" You whispered to him as you put on the blue vest. Luckily for the two of you, there were three teams so the two of you were the only ones on the blue team since everyone else joined their friends.

"Babe!" He exclaimed feigning shock, "I was thinking the same thing let's go."

You grinned and as soon as the workers opened the door the two of you ran straight for the slope to the second floor knowing exactly what to do; the two of you were the perfect team. You crouched around the corner by the stairs stealing a glance at Jack who was blocking the other slope right as the timer counted down to zero, officially starting the game. Watching him peek over the ledge and prop up his gun like he was a sniper made you laugh; you were even in love with his childish side. Remembering you were in the middle of a game you snapped your attention back to your position and shot the herd of seven-year olds that attempted to go barreling straight towards you. Quickly they realized their mistake and ran back down.

"Baby cover me." He whispered breaking his position to slowly make his way down to the first floor, even though he couldn't see you, you nodded and quickly made your way to his side to look over the ledge for enemies. But you missed one kid and heard the sound from Jack's vest signaling he was shot.

"Baby go on without me." He said dramatically dropping to the ground beside you. You raised an eyebrow at him and shook your head at his antics.

"Help me you doofus." You told him with a giggle gently pushing him trying to get him back on his feet.

After at least five matches the two of you were back in his car breathless. Yet again he raced to your side to open the door for you and you thanked him with a quick smile as you got into the car.

"That was really fun babe." You told him lacing your hand through his again making him grin.

"Good, I'm glad you liked it," he said leaning in for a quick kiss, "but that's not all. I have one more thing planned."

"Where are we going this time?" You asked as he pulled out of the parking lot heading back towards the highway.

"Still not telling you babe have some patience. It's not that far." He responded chuckling making you groan in anticipation. After what felt like decades of driving he stopped in what looked like the middle of a field and got out going straight to the trunk.

He pulled out a picnic basket with a smile, "I made Daniel stash it in my car while we were playing laser tag. I know this is cheesy but you always said you loved watching the sunset, and I packed your favorite foods."

You smiled and pulled him in for a kiss, "It's perfect."
