Birds sang and fluttered about in the trees as the glow of the afternoon sun warmed my skin. I swayed gently on the back of my horse, (h/n), as we trotted back towards Moorland Stables after our daily riding lessons. I hummed a little tune to myself, basking in Jorvik's natural beauty. My horse's hooves clacked loudly on the cobblestone as I rode into the yard, halting just as we reached the barn. I dismounted and was about to remove (h/n)'s tack when Maya noticed me and waved, jogging in my direction. "Hey (y/n)! Have you lost a horse lately?" She asked me, glancing around conspiratorially. "No.. Why?" I asked, confused. "Well, there's a North Swedish horse by the beach and I thought she looked like one of yours. I'm way to busy with stable chores to find her owner so do you mind going and checking it out for me?" She said, sounding a little apologetic.

I reasured her with a wave of my hand and a smile. "Sure! It's no problem, honest! (H/n) is just itching for another ride, aren't you boy/girl?" I said, turning to scratch my horse's neck as he/she nodded his/her head as if to say 'yes.' I climbed back in the saddle and trotted off in the direction of the Moorland beach. Just as Maya had said, a beautiful North Swedish horse stood on the dock, looking confused and lost. I dismounted and walked slowly up to the mystery horse. She had the most beautiful raven coat I had ever seen and her mane and tail were gleaming with a silvery sheen. There was some sort of package strapped to her back and I briefly wondered what was inside before glancing around, scanning the area for anyone nearby. Unfortunately I saw no sign of who her owner might be. I figured the next best step would be to take her to the stables until her owner could be located. "Hello pretty girl. Where are you from?" I said as I cautiously reached up to pat her muzzle. She nickered softly and leaned her head into my touch.

It was then that a flash of white caught my eye and I noticed a note attached to the horse's bridle. As I read it I learned that the horse's name was Zee and that she belonged to a man up at Nilmer's Highland named Ydris. Ydris? What kind of name is that? I thought to myself. I mounted my horse once more and said, "Alright Zee, we'll take you back to your home. Follow us!" I led (h/n) into a quick canter and Zee followed obediently. When we reached Nilmer's Highland I was surprised to see crates and boxes everywhere. These definately hadn't been here yesterday. As I dismounted I noticed a large, purple wagon in one side of the field. Next to the wagon stood a tall, handsome man dressed in dark prurple ringmaster's atire.

Zee instantly trotted up to him and whinnied happily. The man looked at me and beckoned me to him. "Ah, so you are the one who found my precious Zee. Thank you my dove." He said as he patted his horse's neck affectionately. "It was no trouble, really." I said as I felt myself blush. His voice was so smooth and deep, laced with just a hint of a French accent, perfectly tailored to the charming and handsome man it belonged to. "I am Ydris, Ydris the amazing! You can call me anything you want as long as it's not ordinary." He said, wrinkling his nose in distaste at the word. I couldn't hold back a giggle and even (h/n) nickered in amusement.
