Later on that day..
4:23 p.m.
"I can't believe you're going to Jason's house and leaving me here with Stephanie," Sophia complained.
"Aww, the poor baby Sophia. Hahaha. You'll be fine. You told Mom about today, right?" I asked.
And I got nothing.
"Sophia?"
"Nope."
"Well she can't tell now obviously but tell her what happened," I said.
"Okay I will."
"I'll tell her my part when I get back.
I was packing my little backpack with clothes. I think I got everything. I hope. First time at a guy's house in a while. I never really used to go to Michael's house back then. Boo hoo, right?
I was excited and nervous but in a good way. I'll be sleeping in Jason's room. Not in that way people! Don't be alarmed at all.
We haven't even been dating for 24 hours yet. I feel like it would be after (if we date for a while) a year or so then we'll do it. But who knows? If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
I was all packed and Sophia looked sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I'm nervous to tell Mom, Christina."
"Come on. I'm not leaving until 5:00."
We walked outside and Mom was watching tv on the couch.
"Mom, can we talk to you?" I started.
"Yeah sure. What's up?"
Sophia was hiding behind me with nervousness and I pulled her aside me.
"Something happened today and we just wanted to tell you straight up now before it blurts out later on. Sophia got jumped today-" I started.
"She what?" Mom asked.
"She got in a fight today but it wasn't her fault at all," I explained.
"Keep going."
"-by this girl who was a 10th grader like her at Sophia's locker and practically was getting beaten up because Sophia was knocked down by this girl and Sophia tried to defend herself. While this was happening, one of her friends came running to me in the cafeteria and telling me what was going on so I ran to her very fast and I saved her and I saved Sophia and helped her out a little bit. Sophia was nervous to tell you because she figured that you would ground us both," I told.
"Oh wow Sophia. I'm so sorry. But Christina, I'm glad you did what you did. You girls are not in trouble at all. It's not like this hasn't happened before," Mom said.
Mom knew what happened in middle school. I almost got suspended because of Sophia. Long story short, I fought this girl because she was bullying her online. I had to punch her. That was that.
"We're not in trouble?" Sophia asked.
"If I punished you girls, it would make things worse. I would be a horrible mother if I did," Mom admitted. "Christina, I am very proud of you for defending your sister like that. That's what sisters are for. They are protective of each other."
"Thank you Mom," I said.
"Thank you Mom," Sophia said.
"I'm just glad you're both okay," Mom told.
4:57 p.m.
I was shaking because Jason is going to pick me up any minute now. Then I heard a knock on a door.
