October 1st.
Homecoming is arriving soon! Oohh, I am so excited to go. The theme this year was "An Evening in Paris". Romantic, huh? I already got ideas in my head for my dress. Short and cute. As always.
Sophia is going with her crush, Eric. He already asked her out which is so adorable, in my opinion. We gotta go shopping together. I feel like they're going to date soon. I feel like he's going to ask her to be his girlfriend at homecoming, don't you think?
On the other hand, Jason hasn't asked me yet to be his date. It's making me sad. Or is he planning something? Hmm. Jason, nowadays, have been very sneaky and slick when it comes to me.
7:47 a.m.
I went to my locker to get my books and there was a note inside that fell out.
Meet me by the cafeteria.
I knew it was Jason because it's his handwriting. So I walked over to the cafeteria and there he was with something in his hand and roses.
"What is happening?" I questioned.
He opened the poster in his hand and got down on one knee, in front of everyone there. Is he proposing to me?
The poster says, "Will you go to homecoming with me?"
And of course I said yes.
"Yes I will," I accepted.
Everyone cheered and we hugged and I was smiling. Literally almost cried because I thought he wasn't going to ask me, to be honest. I really should've seen it coming actually.
"Gosh, I love you so much," he says.
"I know," I joked.
He hugged me again and I got really excited because I have a date to homecoming. This is my 3rd one but with an actual date. Last year I went by myself. I felt like I didn't need a date to go so I went with Stephanie.
Now this year since I have Jason and he asked me to go with him, I can be more excited and I won't be alone while Sophia has her date. She's going to be busy with him. Not in that way, I hope.
Jason is going to be playing in the homecoming game and in at the pep rally this year which I am so excited to see him. It makes me happy to see run with the football in his hand. Or at least him running because I don't really understand football like that. Only volleyball and baseball.
Homecoming this year costs $65. Last year it costed $50. Tell me why does it costs $15 more this year? Is it because the theme is Paris and they're getting French food? Or a fake Eiffel Tower?
Who knows but I can't wait. My first homecoming with a guy as a date. To be honest, if Jason didn't ask me, I was going to ask him but thank God he did first because I would've freaked out.
One of Jason's friends is hosting a party the night after homecoming, so the Saturday after. Jason wants to go but I don't know if Mom will let me go. There might be alcohol or smoking there and she would be uncomfortable.
Wait! She's not going to be in town that weekend. She's going to be in Orlando for her job because they're doing something there. Ooh, maybe I can sneak to the party. Well, that would be bad because what if I get caught?
I mean, I'm not a bad kid but Jason's friend is really popular and everyone goes to his parties. It's my senior year. How bad can it be? I'll ask her anyway to be safe and not be a sneaky, little savage.
"So, my love-" Jason started.
"Wait, I'm your love?" I asked.
He then took our his phone and pulled up my contact and it was a picture of us and my contact name was "My Love" with two pink heart emojis. Aww, he's so adorable. I never would've thought that he would put me as that. His contact was "Babe" with two heart emojis. I'll keep mine.
