"Why do you want to help?" I asked. "We don't even know each other."

"Well then, let's get to know each other. I'm Chris Waters. You?" He asked.

"Melody. Melody Ace." I said calmly.

"Nice name," He complimented.

"Thanks. I said, quietly. I'm wasting time. I can't let this guy distract me. "C'mon Red. We should get going."

"I'm coming, too," Chris said.

"With all due respect, I prefer being alone."

"Well I'm coming one way or another."

"Can I rea-" I didn't finish my sentence. I felt something hit my leg. I look and saw a tranquilizer. I felt so tired. "You little-" I knocked out.

(Chris's P.O.V)
I'm not the person who does this, but I had a feeling she doesn't trust me. Her wolf friend, Red, growls at me. I just shrugged. I saw Red picked Melody up on his back. I realized how small she really is. Or how big Red is. I can't tell. Me and Red both walked out.

"So, does Melody takes care of you?" I asked Red.

"I'm her protecter," He said. I stumbled and fell down.

"YOU TALK?!?!" I yelled.

"Of course I can. Don't tell her about this." He looks at Melody.

"SINCE WHEN?!?!"

"Since forever." He said, calmly.

I took a few deep breaths before talking."Are you some kind of werewolf?"

"What? No, you idiot. I just talk."

I might of made a bad decision. But I'm curious about Melody."When did you met her?" I asked.

"I met her last night. I was just walking when I saw something glow. I walked over there and saw her. She was tired and collapsed. I kept her in warm all night."

"A glow? How is that possible?" I asked

"Well, have you noticed that she has two different color eyes?"

"I have. It's rare for people to have that."

"A glow. Two different color eyes. Does that mean anything?"

I tried to think. But I'm too tired. "Can we do this tomorrow?"

"Sure I guess. Just know that she can trust you."

"Sure," I said, sarcastically,as I drifted off to sleep.
