Rey's New Problem-and-Life In the Snake's Den

It's been several weeks since Rey was saved by Kaya and Orochimaru. He had been in a bed where Kabuto would heal any wounds. Most of the wounds were so bad that Kabuto could barely even heal them.

Kaya wasn't really close with him, so she was only slightly curious on the progress. Whenever she asked Kabuto, he would brush off the question.

Finally Kabuto exits the room where he had placed Rey. "I'm finally done with this brat." He said while fixing his glasses.

The medic walked away and announced to Orochimaru's team that Rey would be joining them for dinner.

A pair of twins who were short and had messy white hair were exited. They were Inko and Miko. Two children of the age of 12 but very skilled in the art of combat.

Kimimaro simply nodded and had the twins help him set up Dinner while some other lackeys helped set up the dining room and such.

Kaya nods firmly and asks if she needs to do anything to help with getting him suited in. Kabuto nodded. "Help those idiots set up the dining room, I can't stand them." Kaya nods to this.

Kabuto went back into Rey's room and after and hour of things getting prepared. "Rey is coming in." Kabuto announced as Rey walked in behind him, he had White robes, black pants, and ninja sandals along with a purple rope around his waist. His eyes were nothing but cold, empty and lifeless. Rey was now a simple shell of what he once was.

The twins only laughed at the transformation and made jokes, Kimimaro stayed his silent persona.

"...." Kaya stares at Rey, she wasn't sure what to call him anymore, he definitely wasn't the same guy who warned her about Orochimaru.

Speaking of the snake he was nowhere to be found, seemed he left somewhere.

Kabuto sits down and so does Rey. Throughout dinner, Rey was quiet and simply ate with no conversation. The white robe wasn't closed all the way, so some of his chest was visible, large scars could be made out.

"So you're Rey?!" Inko asked with a smile as he was close up to the Uchiha.

"I think he is!!" Minko said said while looking over the uchiha's shoulder.

Rey just had his mouth open slightly but he simply kept eating.

"Hey!! Don't ignore us!!" The twins said at the same time. They were kind of annoying everyone there.

Kaya glared at the two, they always annoyed her and it wasn't easy to tone out, she slams her Fist onto the table "Shut up. Or Maya will look out for you again" she threatens

The Twins instantly shut their mouth and finish eating before leaving. Kimimaro left with them to watch them.

Kabuto looked at Kaya and Rey before leaving as well. Kaya had asked for alone time with Rey earlier.

Kaya sends a few discreet looks at Rey, seeing if he was in the mood to talk or if he was looking at her at all

Rey looked at Kaya, his eyes showed a glint or spark of some kind. Like something was desperately trying to come out and be whole.

She looks at him and sees the glint, she gets up and walks over to him, she lifts herself onto the table, a foot or too away from his plate "So..." She thinks to herself, she wasn't good at starting conversation "You're welcome" she says in her smartass tone, and already felt like an asshole

The Uchiha simply looked back down at his food, playing with it, taking some bites here and there. Everything he did looked like he was truly dead, maybe he was.

She kicks her feet slightly, she was gonna try a few more times but walk away If it was utterly useless "Like the place? It's...not bad with the right people around"

He decided to speak. "Thank you." Only a whisper came out as his sentence.

Kaya looks at him, she could hear him just fine, she wasn't really good at this so she shrugs "Eh" she slides off the table "Did they point you to a place to stay?"

Rey slowly nodded before standing up and bowing to Kaya. "I- I'm forever in your debt." He whispered out.

"...no" she makes him stand straight "I don't want that. I saved you because any person would" she says before walking to the entrance of the dining room.

Rey grabbed Kaya's wrist. "I- I can't talk well. Can you guide me around?" He asked in a whisper.

She looks slightly startled as he grabs her wrist. She looks at him and shrugs "Sure thing..." She starts leading him to the training room then takes out two tiny earplugs "Here, put these on" she says, handing them over

Rey was hesitant but puts the earplugs in and nods for Kaya to continue.

Kaya leads Rey to the training grounds, where Maya was screaming at some glass and making them shatter, since kaya was also a siren she was immune. She walks up to Maya "We have a guest" she stops screaming "Ooh!! Hi friend!!" She waves at Rey, kaya walks behind rey and takes the ear plugs out "This is my twin, she calls everyone friend" Maya smirks menacingly at him.

Rey simply, in response, tilted his head to Maya and waved emotionlessly to the twin of Kaya, maya.

"Rey keep those earplugs, those are the only earplugs that can fully block the sound waves" Kaya informs, Maya smirks and laughs "because I'd you dont it will leave your ear drums to die! Hahahaha!!" She laughs out "I'm going to give him a tour" kaya waves Maya bye while taking rey around the mansion, the last place being her room "And that's it"

Rey nodded to Kaya before grabbing her shoulder and pulling her into a hug. Not saying a single word.

"?!" She freezes up and her eyes widen, she looks at Rey "...why are you hugging me..?" She asks slowly, she was close to pushing him off.

Some sobbing noises where heard from Rey. "I- can't talk right, Kabuto told me I could but only whisper now." He pulled away. "Even though, I'm happy you saved me." Rey's eyes still showed lifelessness, but some sadness now.

"Only whisper?...I could ask Maya to fix it...but then you cant speak at all..." She frowns "I'm sorry about your voice" she says truthfully.

Rey let's out a shaky sigh before nodding to Kaya and walking off into his assigned room. He smashed a dent in one of the walls and grits his teeth. "Those damn devils!!! If only I hadn't trusted them with my safety!!! This would have never happened!!" Rey yelled in his mind before his heaven curse mark started turning to burning flame color and acting out. Rey grinned. "I'm coming for you Rias, Gremory." He thought as the curse mark over took him.
