Chapter 23- New guy and jealously

Aria's P.O.V

I was sitting at the small coffee shop down from the apartment on my own, enjoying a little time to myself and a caramel latte. I was exhausted even though I slept for hours on and off last night. Hunter was annoying me playing his stupid PS4 in the living room and no matter how many times I asked him he would not take it to his bedroom and that is why I needed to get away too.

I sat staring into space, thinking about the events of the last twenty four hours and still trying to work out why Hunter was acting differently last night and this morning then went back to being his usual self by the afternoon. Men are so damn confusing and that is one I am only having sex with. No wonder I try my best not to get into relationships. I was pulled out of my own world when I felt like someone was watching me. I looked around, my eyes falling on the person that as looking at me. It was a very handsome stranger and when my eyes met his he gave me a charming smile, in return I done the same. He motioned me over to him. I was not sure if I should then decide why not? I grabbed my things, making my way over to him.

"Hi." I said confidently

"Hello beautiful." He smiled sweetly at me

"I'm Aria and you are?" I asked

"Darren, it is nice to meet you. Please sit." He said, flashing that charming smile at me again

I nodded, sitting across from him. His eye caught mine and what a lovely pair of hazel eyes they were.

"Are you single before I start talking to you?" I asked

"Yes. You?" he chuckled

"Yup. Good now we have that out of the way." I said with a smirk

He was a good looking guy that was for sure. He seemed a good few years older than me, I prefer older men. I was waiting for him to start the conversation, he was the one that called me over after all. And soon enough he did start talking, asking about me...telling me about him and before I knew it two hours had passed. We were chatting and laughing a lot, seemed to be hitting it off great.

"I need to make a move but before I do I was wondering if maybe I could get your number, maybe try arrange a date?" he asked hopeful

"Sure thing." I smiled, swapping numbers

"Well I hopefully will see you soon. I will text you later, try and arrange that date." He said

"Looking forward to it." I smiled

He gave me a quick hug before he had to run off. I was definitely in a much better mood than when I came here. I enjoyed Darren's company, he was very sweet and flirty...the complete opposite from Hunter. Wait, why am I thinking about him right now? I pushed Hunter to the back of my head, thinking a little about Darren. He seemed to live a life full of adventure, something I would love to do but not the right time at the moment.

I made my way back to the apartment, smiling and humming away to myself. Let's hope I am not met with Hunter and an unexpected guest again. I opened the door, stepping in and closing my eyes

"Is it safe?" I laughed

"Yes Aria it is safe, no half naked woman with Me." he chuckled

"Thank God." I laughed, heading in and sitting next to him on the sofa, thankfully he had turned his stupid computer off.

"You seem in a better mood than when you left." He said pausing the TV and looking at me

I turned to face him, wondering if I should tell him or not, then again why shouldn't I?

"I went and got myself a date with a very handsome guy, well not a date yet. We swapped numbers and gonna arrange a date. I have not been on a proper date for ages." I said smiling

I see his full face change when I said that, he even rolled his eyes when I told him.

"Alright." He said "He is probably an asshole." he added, a slight hiss to his voice

"What is your problem? You don't even know him, how do you know he is an asshole?" I hissed back

"What sort of guy picks a woman up in a coffee shop?" he said

Really that is his argument? What is wrong with meeting someone in a coffee shop?

"Are you for real right now? You pick woman up at the damn grocery store." I said annoyed

"That is different." He said annoyed

"How do you work that one out?" I asked glaring at him

"You know what Aria do whatever the fuck you want, I don't give a damn. Just don't come running to me when you get your heart broken." he growled, standing up and began storming off to his room

Hell no, he does not get to walk away from me without telling me what his damn problem is. I jumped to my feet, going after him and heading into his bedroom after him. He refused to look at me. He was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

"What the fuck is your actual problem? You are acting like a goddamn jealous idiot." I hissed

That soon grabbed his attention, making him look at me

"Jealous? Of what? You and some idiot that is gonna end up hurting you?" he growled

"You have no fucking clue what you are talking about." I hissed at him

With that he jumped to his feet, making his way over to me. I took a few steps back, my back soon hitting the wall, making me trapped between the wall and Hunter

"Yes I do." He insisted

"Seriously why is me going on a date with someone bothering you this much?" I asked

"Cause Brandon asked me to look out for you that is why." He replied

What sort of stupid ass excuse is that?

"Are you actually using that right now? You are the one that has been fucking me Hunter, how is that looking out for me cause he asked you too?" I said

Hunter stepped in closer to me, pressing his body tight against mine and reached into my ear

"Like you have any complaints about that Aria." He hissed in my ear

His hand was now stroking my side and I could feel myself becoming weak because of him but that aint happening not this time. I used my hand, pushing him away from me and stepping to the side

"No that aint fucking happening, you have no chance in hell. Get back to me when you are man enough to tell me the real reason me going on a date with some other gut bothers you so much." I said turning and walking away from him

"Go fuck yourself Aria." He called after me

"I would rather that than you doing it jackass." I called back, heading into my own bedroom and slamming the door shut

Serious what the hell is his problem? I am convinced he is jealous.
