Chapter 27- First date with Darren

Aria's P.O.V

Tonight was the night of my date with Darren. He was picking me up in half an hour and I was already ready which was unlike me. Hunter had been acting like an ass all day and he was pissing me off that much I was close to slapping him one and I am not a violent person but I could make an exception for him tonight. Actually he has been acting differently since that afternoon we had sex in his car, he had been off and has kept his distance from me.

I gave myself the once over in the mirror, happy with my outfit choice. I made my way through to the living room...Hunter sitting on the sofa watching his usual grab on the TV. As soon as he heard my heels click against the floor he looked up from the sofa. I see him eye me from head to toe before his eyes meet mine

"Well he will sure know he is getting laid tonight." He said no emotion to his voice, turning away from me

"Excuse me?" I said annoyed

"What? I am right aren't I? Why else would you wear a dress like that on a first date if you never planned on putting out?" he said

"How dare you judge me? And what if that is my plan? You do it all the time and that is without even going on a first date." I hissed

"Whatever Aria but don't bother bringing him back here if you plan on fucking him." He growled

I clenched my fists at my side, taking a few deep breaths and calming myself. I was not going on this date pissed off and annoyed because of Hunter, he aint ruining this for me. I decided to ignore him, grabbing a beer from the kitchen, staying in there to drink it out of his way. I don't know what his damn problem is but whatever it is he needs to get over it. Then I soon changed my mind about staying calm cause I wanted to know why Hunter was acting this way. I made my way over to the sofa, standing in front of the TV, making under look up and glare at me.

"What the fuck is your problem? You have been acting like more of an asshole than usual recently and quite honestly it is starting to piss me the heck off Hunter." I hissed annoyed

"Nothing, I am fine. Now will you move?" he said

"No I will not move until you tell me what the hell is wrong with you Hunter?" I repeated again

"I do not need to fucking explain myself to you Aria OK?" He snapped at me jumping to his feet

I went to say something else to him, before I could he turned on his heels and started walking away from me

"Don't come crying to me when all this ends in disaster Aria." He called out before I heard the door of his bedroom getting slammed shut

I don't know what makes him think so strongly that this is all gonna end bad. Jeeze it is a date, I aint marrying the damn guy. I decided to let him come out of his strop and leave him be. If he wants to talk to me like a normal person then he can come to me, I am done with his pissy attitude. I finished my drink, calming me down because I knew Darren would be here soon. And just at the thought there was a knock at the front door. I fluffed my hair a little, making sure my dress was sitting right before grabbing my bag and heading to the front door, answering it. Darren was standing there, looking very handsome in a pair of jeans and a blue shirt.

"Hey gorgeous." He smirked at me

"Hey Handsome, ready to go?" I smirked back

He nodded, placing his hand on the small of my back, leading me out to his car

"How was your day?" he asked

"Alright except my roommate is being an ass." I said rolling my eyes

Darren knew I shared the apartment with Hunter...knew that Hunter was my brothers best friends but he does not know that we are having sex, sure that could ruin a first date before it even began.

"Oh that aint so good." He said giving me a sympathetic look

"I am used to it, he has always been a bit of an ass. How are you?" I asked

"Good thanks, better now though." He said flashing his charming smile at me, making me giggle

Darren and I had been having a great night, getting on really well. We went to a cute little Italian place for our meal which he paid for even though I tried paying half, he was having none of it. Now we were just walking around, chatting and getting to know each other a little better. He was hilarious and really sweet, made my shit day better for sure.

"Now tell me Aria, was our first date enough of a success for me to get a second one?" he asked

I pretended like I had to think about it

"Yes of course. I have enjoyed my night with you and would really like to do it again." I smiled

"I am glad to hear it. We will get something arranged. I am away for the next three days on a business trip, but after I get back we will for sure have our second date." He smiled

"Looking forward to it." I said

We walked around for another hour, taking us to 1am and sadly we had to call it a night there cause he was leaving early for his business trip in the morning. Darren walked me to the front door

"So would I be pushing it if I asked for a kiss?" he asked nervously, a hopeful look on his face

I giggled, stepping into him and placing my hand on his chest

"No I think that would be OK." I smiled sweetly

Darren placed one hand on my hip, the other on my cheek and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He inched into me, leaving a small gap for me to close which I happily did, pressing my lips softly against his. His lips felt so good against mine. The kiss was short and sweet but still a great first kiss.

"I will text you tomorrow gorgeous and see you when I get back." He said

"I can't wait. Thank you for tonight, I had a great night." I smiled

"Me too." He replied pecking my cheek

We say a final goodbye and he headed off. I took a deep breath, heading inside hoping Hunter was in bed or away out, no such luck cause he was still sitting up

"Well that date couldn't have been that great if you are home before morning." He said not even looking at me

I am seriously beginning to think he is jealous

"Actually the date was great. And not all guys are like you Hunter. Some actually know how to treat a woman, take her on dates and not just fuck and chuck her like you. You should maybe take a page from his book." I hissed

"Whatever Aria, it will never work out." He hissed back

"Go fuck yourself Hunter." I said before heading through to my bedroom

I am not gonna let him take me out of my good mood. I stripped down, taking my make up off and getting into my PJS, climbing into bed. I grabbed my phone texting Darren

Aria: Hey did you get home OK? X

Darren: Yes I did so, I find that very sweet you checking up on me. I really did have a good night tonight Aria, thank you. I have not had a good date like that in a while xx

Aria: Just making sure you are safe. Me too so thank you too. Well sleep time for me and you should get to sleep too since you are up early. Night, night xx

Darren: Yes you are right lol. Night, night beautiful talk soon xx

I could not help but smile as I read his text. I switched my light off, settling down for night. Falling asleep with a smile on my face.
