David stood in their small shared kitchen looking through the empty fridge, milk, some eggs, and some condiments. He sighed before opening the freezer, there laid a single hot pocket. He groaned before taking it and throwing it into an older model microwave, he punched in the numbers and leaned on the counter as it cooked.
Skylon sat in the living room scrolling through his phone, he dropped the device on the couch and looked over to David. "Guess spending all of our money on cars wasn't the best decision?"
David sighed, "No, it was the best one. It's just this old ass little house, it's almost too small for our cars."
Skylon nodded, "It is scary when both of our cars are in the garage." he mumbled before David continued.
"Maybe we should move out."
"To where? My old job barely let me pay Damian for upgrades, with discounts, and now that I'm not making money." Skylon responding shrugging.
David opened the microwave and grabbed his freezer food, "When Damian opens up, we'll be raking in money. Maybe we can move over there? Get a nice beach house?"
Skylon smiled, "Yeah, but...price. How much are we going to be talking about? You know I'd love to live in a place like that, but."
David nodded, "Yeah, but Damian said he'd invite everyone he knew. Most of them have to be racers."
Skylon weighed out the options and what his roommate had said, "I guess so. But we still need that nitrous installed."
"Yeah, we built our cars for circuit, not drag. Other cars would be better at that, but NOS is expensive bro."
"So is a house." Skylon countered before his phone rang, he picked up the phone and answered. "'Sup Damian?"
David ate his hot pocket as his friend spoke on the phone, he threw away the cardboard holder as the peperoni pastry got too little in substance. He finished the food and began to wash his hands as Skylon stood up and put on his trademark clothes, gray shirt, blue jeans, and black jacket.
"What's going on?" David asked with a raised brow.
"Garage is ready."

Damian laughed as he watched all of his friends and partners run around on the beach and garage. The building was two stories and had every tool he could ever need, car lifts and all. He had a bar in the back filled with drinks and the whole place was lined with speakers being suspending into the air blasting music.
A shorter girl with blonde hair came by with a drink in her hand, "Nice party Dame!" she said before dancing past him and outside to the beach. He smiled and looked at some of the pictures on the wall, they were pictures of his own Mustang and of David and Skylon's cars.
Everyone in the garage cheered loudly as a blue GTR and red Demon pulled into the garage, the entire front wall was a huge door that split apart like a hangar so you could see everyone that drove past. Damian laughed over the music as Skylon and David got out of their cars.
"What's up guys?" He asked as he gave each of them a hug, they both took the place in and smiled.
"This place looks amazing Damian, I can't believe you got here from street racing."
"It's something David. Aye but look, you guys are welcome here whenever you want to come. Feel welcome to eat and drink what's here, enjoy the beach, whatever. But I have to find some other employees, they were invited here and I was gonna let them explore before getting their answer. Now I have to find them." Damian explained in short before shaking their hands and walking towards the beach front.
David laughed and looked around, "This is awesome dude!"
Skylon nodded and began to walk with him over to the bar, "It is, and there's going to be more people that work here."
They walked up to the bar and sat next to a couple of girls that were sitting there, the man behind the bar smiled and held his hand out to Skylon.
"Holy shit, you're a legend dude!" The young looking boy exclaimed shaking his hand, Skylon shook his hand and smiled.
"Not really anything special." He waved off, "What's your name?"
"Names Jaune, Damian hired me last week when this place was still getting ready. And you are a big deal, no one's been able to beat you in a street race. Damian says that people bet on you!"
David nodded, "They do, and Damian and I are the only ones that know about his car."
Jaune gasped, "Does it have a secret power?"
"What? No. Know about the tune man." David said confused.
The girls next to them looked over to them, "So you're the one that Damian says is his best?" The girl had pink hair and brown eyes, she wore a white sundress and had on matching sandals. The girl next to her had blonde hair with red tips with brown eyes and wore an orange sundress.
Skylon nodded, "I'm Melanie, this is my sister Jane." she said pointing to the one in orange.
"Nice to meet you?" He said with a raised brow.
Melanie scoffed, "Was that a question? I want to race, prove your worth."
Jaune held his hand out, "Now now ladies, no one has beat him. Or David except for him, it's a lost cause."
Skylon pushed his hand away, "You're on."

Melanie sat in her older model Mazda while Jane sat in her Fairlady, their engines revved as the crowd cheered. People lined the beach standing to watch...and each and everyone of them made a bet, there was $120K on the line of this race. Jaune ran out to Skylon's car and leaned over to look at him in the window, "Are you sure you want to do this? It's just a waste of gas."
"It's fine Jaune, they want to race. I'll give them a race."
A girl with long golden blonde hair stood on the drag strip with a flag raised. She had on a tied yellow button up shirt and short ripped jeans showing off her legs, she flashed a smiled as the engines revved before dropping the flag.
The GTR sped ahead of the older cars as flames popped out of the back, the crowd cheered as Skylon smoked them. Melanie and Jane sat bewildered as the GTR sped off, by the time they got to the end of the track Skylon was already pulling to a stop where they began. People ran out and crowded around his car congratulating him along the way, he turned the car off as he pulled into the garage and got out.
He walked over to the bar where Damian and David sat waiting, David gave him a thumbs up as Damian began to laugh. "I don't know what I expected, here is your $120,000." He said handing him a huge wad of cash, Skylon smirked and shook his head.
"I'll take half, but you use the rest to do what you want. I wouldn't be making money if it weren't for this place, gotta make sure it stays wealthy." He said before sitting down next to him, "How much would it cost to get NOS installed?"
Damian raised his brow, "Um. Are you sure you want it? You'll need to come in often for tune ups, and I'll have to make sure your pistons are all good. You only have 6 afterall."
"Yeah man, I can beat most people. But no ones invincible, and as much as I love 'em...GTRs aren't the fastest cars in the world. How much? And how soon?"
Damian sighed, "I could probably get it done by tonight, and I'll just use some of the cash you let me keep. Maybe I can get it done by the time the street race opens tonight."
