Aftermath

Skylon groned and as slowly sat up, he immediately regretted it as his stomach had a sharp pain shoot through it. He grunted as he opened his eyes, he looked around the hospital room and squinted his eyes until he could remember what had happened. He pulled the white sheet back and saw he had stitches in a small inch long line on his stomach, right above his belly button.

"Hmm, nice of them to shave my stomach for me. I guess." He whispered before looking at the heart rate monitor and IV in his arm, he looked up at the door opening and saw a bunch of his friends.

He smiled as David, Damian, Jaune, and a couple of girls walked into the room. David motioned to the girls, "This is Cinder, and Destiny, there the ones that were sitting with us the night before..."

"Before I lost my car."

Cinder had black hair that trailed to her shoulders, amber eyes and slightly tanned skin. She wore a dark red blouse and black skinny jeans. Destiny had long brown hair that trailed to her waist and mocha skin with brown eyes, she wore a white sweater and tan capris. Destiny walked over to the bed and sat on the side before putting her hand on his.

"Didn't I tell you that you would get into big trouble one day?"

He rolled his eyes and smiled, "Yeah yeah."

Damian raised his eyebrow before snapping his fingers, "That's right! All three of us went to school together for a year."

David looked at him before smiling, "Oh yeah! Now I remember, Skylon said that he was completely in love with her in middle school!"

Skylon glared at him before Destiny giggled, she leaned down and kissed his cheek before crossing her arms. "Well, I wouldn't be opposed to going out."

Skylon smiled and nodded, Damian clapped his hands together. "Right, so we recorded this for you since you missed it." he said handing him his phone with a video.

When he hit play a news broadcast began to replay.

"We are here with the police department to get an insight on what happened late last night. There was a couple of fast cars speeding down a residential area before one of the cars was shot and blown up. It was a 2012 Nissan GTR being driven by a Bryan Guam, the driver reportedly was involved in drug dealing and delivery with his father and drug cartel suspect, Matthew Guam. Could you tell us what happened chief Davis?"

The police chief stepped forwards to the microphone and cleared his throat.

"Yes, we had been suspecting of the drug cartel for around 3 months. However we never had any solid proof to get an arrest warrant, so we decided to put some people behind enemy lines so to speak. We knew that Matthew frequently visited the country club and decided to get some street racers inside. That's where David Bales and Skylon Moss come in, David was meant to go undercover as a drug runner for Guam while Skylon planted cameras and or got evidence for arrest. Turns out Matthew is a horrible criminal and told David straight up that he housed drugs, and even mentioned that he forbid his son from drug running. Skylon grabbed some pictures and went for more evidence before finding an angry Joshua Guam, he fought him and his father and sustained a stab wound to the stomach. He is in stable condition, but won't be awake for a little while due to numbing drugs."

The reporter looked to the camera and smiled.

"Wow. Looks like underground racing champions turned out to be today's heroes, and according to the chief they will be rewarded greatly for their accomplishments. But now we will show some interviews from people that are close to the two brave men."

It cut to a camera view of Damian sitting outside of his shop.

"Could you tell us about Skylon and David?"
