Emerald was gone and Zane hadn't left his room for days. He wouldn't talk to his parents or friends, he refused to talk to anyone. He had compeletly shut himself down. He was in a much worse condition than he was before he met Emerald.

Noel, Danielle and Louis were quite worried for him. It broke their hearts to see Zane like that and the worst part was they had no clue why Zane had captured himself in his room. They decided to try to get him out of those four walls one more time.

"Zane, please come out." Noel said, knocking on the door.

"Please Zane we can't see you like that. Tell us what's bothering you. You can tell us anything." Danielle said as she leaned closer to the door.

Zane lifted his head up and looked at the door. Tear stains were clearly encraved on his cheeks and some fresh ones rolled down when he heard his friends voices and the pain in their voices. But he looked away from the door, he couldn't get up and open the door.

Louis gestured Noel and Danielle to move away form the door and leaned his head on the door "Zane, I have told you these before and I'm telling you this again, if it has something to do with us, you can tell me. And if you're not sure then we can be just friends for now. We can be friends forever if that's what you want. There's no pressure on you. Please come out don't hide like that." Louis tried to comfort Zane and get him out of his room.

Zane immedieatly looked at the door again when he heard Louis's voice. He slowly got up form his bed and walked over to the door.
He grabbed the knob, his hand was shaking and tearsdrops fell on this hand. He almost turned the knob but then he shut his eyes tightly and let go of the knob and fell down on the floor, his back pinned to the door and hid his head in between his arms, he couldn't hold back the sobs that escaped form his mouth.

"Yeah, Zane please come out." Noel and Danielle said in sync.

"Zane if you don't come out right now then I'll won't talk to you ever." Louis said in a stiff tone. He had no other option left as Zane wasn't listening to them.

Zane lifted his head up when he heard Louis. He couldn't loose Louis, he already lost Emerald and now not the love of his life. So he slowly got on his feet and opened the door.

It stunned and broke all the three of them to look at Zane. He looked even more skinny than he was before and he looked weak, tired and his eyes lost all the sparkle they used to have. Zane didn't say a word on why he didn't wanna talk to anyone or come out of his room.

He couldn't tell anyone the reason behind his shut down even if he wanted to. He himself couldn't understand why he was feeling like that. So what Emerald left? So what he didn't tell him who he was? He done his job perfectly, that's all that should matter. And he had to leave after that anyway. He didn't understand why he was dying to see Emerald just one more time.

Zane looked at his friends, they gave a smile, but they were clearly hurt and he hated that he was the reason. He looked at Louis and tears filled his eyes again. He shoved himself against Louis, crying. Louis held him close. Even though for Zane he was love of his life Louis knew that he needed a friend to be there for him.

"Louis please don't you ever say that again. Don't ever leave me please." Zane sobbed and burried his face on Louis's chest and grabbed his t-shirt with his fists. Even thought Zane distraught the warmth of Louis's body pressed to his gave him comfort.

Louis gripped Zane even more tighlty and rubbed his back to comfort him "I won't. I won't ever leave you Zane. Never. Please don't cry. I'm here." Louis kissed Zane's forehead.

"Awwww!" Noel and Danielle joined the hug.

Zane had everything, he had amazing and loving and caring friends, he also had Louis, the love of his life. Yet he felt like something was missing.
