"Ugly!"
"Unlovable!"
"Unbearable!"
"Good for Nothing!"
After hearing all these cruel, heart aching and soul crushing words all throughout the eighteen years of his life, Zane finally felt tired of it all, he didn't see any meaning of life anymore. All the hope he carried with him to keep him going through this war that killed him everyday but still keept him alive just to continue killing him, more curely, more painfully, more devastatingly everyday, that hope had dired out. He found himself feeling like he's standing on the verge of giving up.
He laid on his stomach on his bed as lifeless as one can be with a heart that's still working, a tear finally escaped from his eyes, soon followed by innumerable.
He glance at the pills he kept beside him, and after taking a deep breath he grabbed the pack, his hands were trembling badly, he closed his eyes and took one out. 'What if one might no be enough?' He thought and took few more, and finally the pack was empty.
Holding them in between his fist, he reached for the glass of water he also kept beside the pills. His trembling hands caused some water to shoot out from the glass and scatter over the bedsheet. He slowly opened his fist and looked at the pills, without thinking much he broght his curled palm full of pills close to his partly open mouth.
"I'm gonna miss you." He whispered, it was such a thin whisper even he could barely hear that, as he felt the warmth of his warm and salty teardrops racing down his cheeks, some dripping down from his jawline onto his tank top, as if they were coming just to say their goodbyes to him.
"I'm gonna miss the warmth, the peace and the comfort you gave me. I must thank you for always being there for me and with me when no one else was."
He said to his tears as they kept flowing down. Strange as it might seem but he has developed a kind of bonding with these tears over the course of his life. As they have been more faithful than everyone else combined has ever been.
"It's a shame that you don't have anyone else to miss, to remember and to thank?" He heard a deep voice with a thick accent from behind. He slowly and carelessy turned his head around to see who it belonged to.
The owner of the voice had short curly black hair, some of the curls placed messly over his forehead and some over his soft pale cheeks with a subtle pinkish shade.
He had deep green eyes, twinkling brighter than any star as he was looking at him. His lips were bright pink and looked quite soft. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black skinny jeans. It didn't bother him in anyway as he didn't care about anything anymore. He just simply turned his head back to finish what he was doing.
He lifted his curled hand full of pills and opened his mouth wide to drop all the pills in at once.
"Zane." He heard the same voice call his name. But he was determined to not let any distraction distract him from doing it.
"Don't Do It!" The same voice echoed again.
Zane didn't care and was about to pour all the pills in his mouth just when the mystery person appeared in front of him and grabed his wrist softly to stop him from doing such a bad thing.
"What?!" Zane freed his wrist.
"Don't tell me what to do and what not to. You don't know me. This isn't your business. Go and mind your own. Leave me alone!"
Zane shouted with all the energy left in him. The mystery person looked into his eyes with a soothing look. It was soothing him but he decided to not to be fooled. He looked away from his compelling eyes.
