Mad Love [Kouha x OC]

HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

Hello and welcome to the Halloween special!!!(Just a bit late 😂) Fun fact: where I live, there is no Halloween. Kids don't go around asking for candy (we only do that on Easter), no houses have decorations (we do that on Christmas/winter), we have no traditions for dressing up in costumes (we do that on Easter, when drunk, for batchelor parties and every other damn reason). Boring right? And if you dress up, have a party and like halloween. Then you are automatically a nerd so... Yeah so nice.

I was yet again working my shift on the same hospital build in 1945. This hospital has served a lot of purposes. Hospital, Bomb shelter, safe place for homeless.....but just few weeks ago, I learned of the other past it had. I had been going through some paper work I had as the head-doctor of the surgery wing. I learned that from 1957 to 1972 this building was used as a mental asylum. At first I didn't think much of it, but right after that one night..... All changed. This is that story.

31.10.1997, the hospital of Chamens:

My name is Nori Arashi, the head doctor and surgeon in the surgery wing of the Hospital of Chamens. I had been working over time for the past three days and having my fifth cup of coffee made my mind run to a place where it shouldn't be.

"Mom?" I heard the same sweet voice say that usually waited me at home or at least it used to. I looked up from my papers to see a little girl smiling at me. She had a red cloak over her pink hair and a beautiful white dress that was decorated with lace. In her hand was a basket that already had a bit of candy in it.

"Hi sweetie!" I said and got up from my chair to hug her. She ran to my arms and hugged me. Oh how I missed her hugs. Soon the door to my office open and a man walked in.

"Mao." He said and Mao turned to look at the man with pink hair.

"Daddy!" She said cheerfully and ran to her father. I saw them hug and a piece of my heart died.

"Hello, Kouha." I said and he looked at me and then at Mao.

"Darling, can you wait here while daddy and mommy talk outside?" Kouha said and Mao walked to a chair at my office and sat on it. She pulled a small book about red riddinghood from her basket and started to red it. Kouha open the door and both of us walked to the almost empty hall. The door closed and Kouha turned to look at me.

"Seriously Nori!? You're working?!" Kouha bursted out at me.

"I can't help it!!" I said and Kouha got even more frustrated with me.

"Yes!! Yes you can!! That is no excuse to let my daughter down!!" Kouha said and I snapped at him.

"Our!! Our daughter!!" I said and Kouha didn't even look the slightest bit of sorry.

"You work and work and you never stop!! Why is that?" He asked and I looked away from him.

"Hey! Don't look away from me and anwser!" He said and I looked at him. I was on the brink on crying, but I was not about to let Kouha see it.

"I just work, that's all." I said and Kouha was about to protest about it, when I cut him off.

"I have an hour left of my shift, but I can cut it in half if you just let me work in peace. The cafeteria is still open so take Mao and wait there for me." I said and Kouha looked angry, but soon open the door.

"Mao, come." He said and Mao jumped off the chair and took Kouhas hand. The walked off and I walked back into my office and sat on the chair at my desk. I started to work, but soon the door open yet again and I was getting annoyed.
