Autumn Festival #37

Nori's pov.

Me and Kouha rode into the village and saw all of the decorations on the streets.

"What with all of the decorations?" Kouha asked and I smiled.

"It for the autumn festival. We celebrate it to thank the nature and animals. It's kind of an harvest festival, but also a way to have fun and relax after all of the hard work." I said and saw Kouha smile.

"I kinda wish I could have lived in a village like this, but I quess fate had other plans." Kouha said and I stopped Kemuri. I got off of him and Kouha got off Mochi. We walked into the village and right away a familiar face rushed toward us.

"Nori it great to see you again!" The bakers son greeted me.

"It's great to see you too Shino!" I said and hugged him.

"Who's the cutie with you?" He asked and I laughed.

"Don't even think about it, prince charming. He is my prince." I said and Shino took a closer look at Kouha.

"Hold up, is he?" He asked and I nod.

"The third prince of Kou, Kouha. So he is literally my prince." I said and looked at Kouha who was just staring at us.

"Damn Nori, you gold digging bastard! You could have brought me a strong prince to save me from this cruel cruel world." Shino said in his usual over the top dramatic voice. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Sorry, charmer. Only I get to enjoy that luxury." I said and took a hold of Kouhas hand and pulled him next to me.

"We have to go now. Tell the others that I'm back. We could spent the festival together like the old days." I said and Shino smiled.

"That sound like a great plan! We'll be waiting for you guys at the sun bridge." He said and walked off.

"Is he like your friend?" Kouha asked and I looked at him.

"Yeah, we've known each other as long as I remember." I said and stared walking, still holding Kouhas hand. We walked along the streets of the small village. People greeted me and Kouha, some gave us gifts such as flower crowns, baked goods and sweets.

"Everybody is so kind and caring." Kouha said and I looked at him. He had a smile on his face and his eyes almost sparkled.

"I'm just wondering why they treat me like just a normal person? I mean it's nice, wonderful actually." Kouha said and I laughed a bit.

"It's because you are with me. These people know me and how I left the village to follow my crush." I laughed and Kouha blushed a bit.

"They know I would never be with somebody who is selfish, mean or arrogant. You are kind, caring and a wonderful person. So they treat you just like any other person, with kindness and respect." I said and Kouha looked around him and then at me. He placed a kiss on my forehead and smiled.

"I love you, you know that right?" He said and I smiled.

"Yeah, I know." I said and gave him a quick kiss.

"Nori?! Is that you my dear?" A voice of an elderly woman snapped me back to reality.

"Grandma?" I asked and looked at the woman with long gray hair.

"Oh my how beautiful you look dear. And who might this lady be with you?" Grandma asked and I giggle a little.

"It's actually a gentleman Grandma." I said and she placed a hand over her mouth in a apologetic way.

"Oh my! I am so sorry for that, my eye sight isn't as good it used to be." She said and walked to us.

"Give me your hand child. Let me read what I can." She said and I did as she asked and Kouha did the same after me. She ran her finger over my hand and then over Kouhas. Then she smiled.
