Chapter Ten

It's been about a week since what happened, throughout those days, Nikki had made the volleyball team, she has an upcoming game this Friday, it's currently well, Friday. She's already made good friends with the team, she was great at hyping them up a few minutes before the game started while they were practicing a bit. The next school they were going against was Northwest High, personally, Nikki hated that team knowing that Sasha and Tabii were on that team. She already knew that her team was gonna beat the shit out of them. Neil was going to come to support her and Max and Y/n were coming for support and to take pictures of the team play. Nikki, of course, going the earliest to get ready.

Y/n's current situation at the moment was still pretty tense, her parents and been a bit weird towards her other than that they haven't changed. Y/n, on the other hand, has been very straightforward and to the point with them, but also her anxiety has been pretty high because of it, she's also been really tensed, on high alert too, needing to relax soon. She normally goes to Lydia for help. At times she'd go to Max but at times he didn't want to talk about it which Y/n understood completely and respected that.

She'd go to Lydia's freaking out or just to hang out around someone she could trust and was out of the house and away from the parents and house in general, she really helps out.

When she does go to Max they usually play guitar together, Max had learned on David's so now when they want a little break they play music together to hang and chill out. It helps great.

Neil was also doing his own little thing, he would walk home with Max. They would walk and talk while listening to each other's music. They get to the shop and Neil buys plants and flowers to plant. At first, Max questioned it, he then went on to its something relaxing and nice along with a few science explanations. He lost then interest. He had bought a variety, he'd come back a few days later when they got more and new ones for the upcoming season and months. At first, he had gotten Asters, Calendula and Cosmos in multiple colors for each. He then would wait for his dad to pick him up, he'd pass time talking to Max about anything from school to stupid topics and what ifs.

They went throughout the school day normally, Y/n more tired than usual, almost fell asleep in math, Max nudged her, making sure she stayed up. She then stayed up, sitting up. She got a drink of water right after class. Max walked her to her next class talking to her, also asking why she was so tired, trying to get a different answer other than- 'I stayed up too late, I'm fine.'

"Well alright, then when you get home to take a damn nap before the game, alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I will." She hugged him then went into her classroom, Max then hurried over to his class which wasn't that far thankfully for him.

They sat in their classes listening and doing their work if they need to. The day goes pretty boring for everyone other than in gym which the game was dodgeball then go to lunch, eating with each other. They then go to photography, Neil and Nikki going to their own class.

They get to the class and hang around talking and laughing with the other class that they're with. They don't do much and neither does the other class knowing they got their things down for the week. They ended up watching trailers and parts of horror movies that were actually good. They ended up scaring a few of the other teenagers because some didn't like or watch horror movies or things. Around the end of class, they got their cameras, lens' camera bags and everything else for tonight.

Once the bell rings they rush out of the room not getting swarmed in with the other high schoolers.

They got to their spot and waited for the other two, Neil was going to walk to the shop with Max again since David had gotten a few more things. Nikki and Neil showed up quicker this time enough time for them all to talk about anything they needed or wanted to. Nikki was the first to leave, then Y/n, while she walked out, Neil and Max followed behind, once she got in the car Max had almost shouted,
