MY SHOES scrapping against the sand underneath me, gripping the chains in my hands. Swinging slowly back and forward, as the tears stream down my face. The air was cool tonight, clouds of air leaving my mouth whenever I breathed out. My phone buzzed several times in my pocket, pulling it out to see multiple messages displayed across the screen from Jaehyeon. A bitter taste filled my mouth, stuffing my phone back into the pockets of my jacket. It was too painful to think of him at this very moment. I just wanted the ground below me to swallow me whole. The emotions overbearing, as a waterfall of tears stream down my face. I choked for air, the heavy lump sitting in my throat. Sobbing into my hands, dreading having to pretend every single day back at school that I was perfectly fine. He broke my heart, Jaehyeon. You broke me completely.
"Are you okay?" a voice speaks up. Sniffing, I wipe my tears away on the palms of my hands before I looked up at the individual. His features were distinct, a frown on his face as he stared back at me.
"I'm fine." I answered softly.
"I know for a fact that you're not fine." He was not convinced. Taking a seat on the swing next to me, he stares attentively at me. I think he wanted me to talk.
"I don't want to bother you." I said.
"I don't mind." he slightly smiled, dimples poking out from his cheeks.
"I don't even know you." I looked at my feet, gripping my hands tightly on the chains.
"Okay. Well then. Hi, I'm Kim Namjoon." he introduced himself. The name, it sounded familiar. He was the one of the smartest students at school.
"Kim Seokjin. Just call me Jin." I spoke.
"So, what's wrong Jin?"
"I found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me for months. I should've known better." I choked on my words.
"I'm so sorry Jin." He rested a hand on my shoulder.
"I just don't want to go back to school tomorrow. I usually sit with him." I sighed.
"How about you sit with me from tomorrow onwards?" he asked.
"I don't want to intrude."
"I usually sit by myself but I'll gladly give you some company." he smiled. I felt better once he smiled at me. Thank you Namjoon.

I QUIETLY look in your direction as you browsed the library, fingers trailing the spines of old books. I smiled to myself, seeing as a stack of books fall from the wooden shelves. You sheepishly ruffled your hair, making me laugh to myself. No matter what Namjoon, you always managed to make me happy. It's probably the reason why I began to fall in love with you.
