Later that night...

I'm woken up by horns. James and I are in our tent, Mara brought us here while Mara and James kept flirting even whilst I was tired it still stuck in my head, no matter what I did. I try and push the thought aside looking into the darkness was James sat up next to me.

"James? I think it's the alarm" I rub my eyes

He groans from his bed "..for fuck sakes I wanted one good sleep I'm out of my cave." He gets up rubbing his eyes his hair a mess. He's shirtless so he goes over to his wardrobe getting dressed in a nice frocked top placing his belt of knives around his waist and grabs his staff. "whatever's disturbed me. I'm going to rip its fucking head off." He complains grunting a little from tightening the belt even more.

I get up. "yup.. I'm gonna hold it still for you"

I yawn. "just tell me what it is, I can't go outside. remember"

He walks outside.to shouting and screaming. A shout suddenly "The Camps being invaded". A body comes through the tent door. Its head has been removed as James walks back in. "Vampires." Victor.

"oh sssshhhit" I look outside, the guards left our tent, the camp is wild awake. The vampires are running rapidly they are trying their best to fend them off but it's hopeless to do it with so many civilians around.

"Go to Mara tell everyone to get out Mia. I need to help the others." He looks at me before rushing out and assisting a line of hunters with vampires. James's brute strength is showing and he's clearly annoyed which, in all honesty, may be a good thing.

I nod running off. at least the hunters don't care about me now. I run along the tents, past the medical tent to where I see light flaring up every few seconds, that must be her. I run past a group of hunters as I'm suddenly thrown to the ground, rolling over I instinctively turn into the grey wolf before feeling the vampires' teeth in my shoulder.

I growl rolling around, pinning him down, he obviously didn't expect that. I kill him quickly before moving on.

Mara is standing in a circle of fire surrounded by vampires that try to attack her, I call out for her using my telepathy.

"Mara, James needs you" I shout at her, "I'm working on it!" The fire lady sounds annoyed, sending Fire at the vampires, they burn to crisp and faint screams are heard.

"You're not supposed to be out here! I told you to stay in your tent!" she speaks condescendingly almost like I'm a child shouting.

"Come on we don't have time for a chat" I look at her growling, another hole appears Mara almost gets overwhelmed then we run back together. I'm already slowed down by the Vampires venom it's starting to burn and the more I move, the more I feel myself going to faint.

James smashes down near me with a vampire who tries biting his arm. He smirks almost shrugging it off punching the vampire quickly and in rapid succession. The vampire exploding as he turns away. By the times he's finished with it vampires around him have fallen too. As in a blink of an eye. He had punched each of them to the death.

"Well clear a path using fire and myself and the warriors will keep the fight here!" He stops keeping a lookout, the vampires have ripped most of his clothing. Nothing lasts long with him.

"Okay" Mara nods running towards the medical tent where children and everyone who can't fight gathered.

The battle is intense outside as I join her. James's knives are seen ripping through the savage oppressors whom are raining down on the camp. Some make it into the tent burn before them. Letting nothing else out but a small scream before death.

James fights with such ferocity and she never stops protecting, me and the others. I try to help her as well as I can, killing the few Vampires that make it through Mara's fire. She's as deadly as James with her staff. Victor is a fool if he thought attacking the hunters was a good idea. Well, even the hunters called him the mad king. Now I truly know the reason.

As we escape with Mara helps James and the fellow warriors defend what's left of the survivors. The attack must have been abrupt so a lot of people may be injured or hurt. James fights more and more, he's protecting everyone as much as he can. He's almost a blur in some areas but the hordes of vampires keep coming hoping they can get a lucky hit on the group.

Then they find out a harsh reality there's no luck when the skill is that of destruction. The Vampires are many, but they didn't expect the elemental lords.

They stand no chance. A final one emerges, he's larger than the rest, wearing some kind of armour. Mara engulfs him in fire but he brushes it off. He hits the warriors back swiftly before throwing a punch at James. Who matches it, the punches collide and his armour is shattered. James throws the vampire up, he shoots up after it like a crossbow shot. The pair plummet down together hitting the ground with a large dust cloud.

I get up, attempting to join James wanting to help him, but Mara keeps me back.

"he'd kill you!" Mara shouts at me.

"Then do something!" I shout back at her, not taking any more of her shit.

As the dust settles James walks out of it. Kicking some of the armour the vampire wore. He didn't put up much of a fight but that sure did look amazing.

"James? Are you alright?" I ask. Fuck, I slowly feel the Venom kick in. Almost like a sharp and constant pain in my shoulder.

"Never better" he smirks cracking his neck the pop sending shivers down my spine. Mara leans on her staff breathing heavily. She looks exhausted from holding me back along with the battle that took place.

"That was fun" James chuckles leaning against his staff. He peers back to the destruction of what was the camp. "check for survivors everyone.." He looks around still standing amongst the survivors.

The warriors slowly start to join us, groups of wounded and exhausted men and women. "Uh... James?" I'm starting to feel dizzy now.

He looks at me. "what do you mean, what happened?" He asks coughing a little my lungs hurt a little.

"I got... bitten, a vampire got a lucky shot in and, I don't feel so hot." I slowly lie down on my side letting my shoulder give in.

"oh...so, where?" He walks over to me. He looks at my neck.

"shoulder. I transformed before it could kill me" I shiver, the cold running down my spine. He nods, he checks on the shoulder tapping it slightly, he looks closely before smiling slightly.

"ah...well, sorry in advance." He bites down on my shoulder, I feel a sharp pain like needles then he pulls off spitting to the side. I whimper "ow!" I tear up slightly before the pain in my shoulder subsided, I can move it again.

He stands back up. "better?" He asks smiling, scratching the back of his neck his fangs are still out. I nod as he smiles pulling his fangs back in.

"long time since I've had those out" he chuckles a little. Mara looks at James weirdly. "I didn't know you had those"

"He's half vampire, It doesn't take a genius to figure it out," I smirk, shaking my head, trying to get the dizzy feeling out.

"yes well, there are a lot of things both of you don't know about me, that doesn't mean I'm going to tell you either" he winks before walking over to a post lifting it up, some of the other hunter's have been trying to pry it up. A young man was trapped under there his ankle probably broken some of the others help him out as James lifts up the post smashing it down on the ground so it stays in place.

"He's a good guy, Unsure and naive but good" Mara smiles before walking off.

"Yeah, I know..." roll my eyes, the pain in my head fades, I still don't trust her. Whereas James watches her walk off he smiles as he walks back over to me.
