James
+++
As I turn to the sound of the trumpets playing, the light shines through the crack within the tent. Seeing the depressed commotion outside as Hunters gather to the edge of the camp to see. My dreaded Uncle I peer back at Mia "Stay here or come with me. It's up to you" I walk on ahead. Shortly after I hear Mia's steps behind me squelching through the mud and freshly fallen rain as it's more of a slight drizzle as of now.
As we walk out the noble vampiric convoy reaches the camp, ever closer. The trudging of Victors royal Carrage breaks away the soft ground below. They stop outside the camp, I walk out Melisandra in tow along with Mia. Clearly they have much to fear, for even I know first hand. His powers are legendary. The carriage opens revealing a slim faced, pale bearded figure. Cloaked from the sunlight apart from his face. The royal through given to the king having properties to conceal a persons figure completely. Even from fire and saving from the effects of drowning and oxygen starvation for a short time. Even vampires need to breathe. There's not much to make from my old uncle, his goatee and a blue pair of wandering eyes. He then fixates his eyes on me.
Melisandra looks at me "I shall take this James". I huff ignoring her "Hello, oh great vampire king". I smirk mockingly. Melisandra looks at me glaring, I glare back. He waves his hand "ah my dearest Nephew. What hole have you crawled out of now you small cretin" He mockingly says back, his sharp words without even the slightest of pain.
"Hmm, the same one you and my mother crawled out of apparently. That little hole you called a kingdom." I smirk, the dark castle was never a sight to behold. Unless in the right hands and reformed to it's former glory. "What do you want?" I stare at him taking over Melisandra.
"To test you my dear Nephew" he smirks whipping his fingers. Two brutes walk past him. Level F mutations.
Mutations in my world, are humans whom have drank vampiric blood. They contort and forget their original nature and have one final goal but know two things. Consume or destroy everything and obeying their alpha. These are things Victor takes pride in as the humans who experience this are given a fate far far worse than death. As they are left battling eternal rage until they are killed.
"Mutations! Everyone fall back!" Melisandra and the other hunters form a defensive position leaving myself and Mia out. I walk forward as the mutations stare solely at me. "I will make quick work of this" I smirk at Victor.
"Oh we'll see" Victor chuckles at the sight of me. Perhaps trying to mock me, but. He doesn't know that by quick. I mean as fast as the wind. I summon my staff and it draws in my hand. Victor stands there as one hundred mile per hour winds tear the mutations limb from limb before his very eyes.
He simply says "all units withdrawal... James is the new Air lord" the rest of the vampires do as the alpha says and Victors Carrige speeds off with the others in tow. Nothing but bloodied fields from the recently deceased mutations. I chuckle "what a stupid man" I turn around walking off with Mia in tow. Happily she follows back into the camp. I give my pen back to Melisandra "Enjoy looking at it. It's the exact same as yours. Your fireness" I poke fun at her title as the fire lady.
I return to my tent "Well, now they won't try anything against us" I chuckle. "Well those were mutations. Not many other people can do that".
she smiles returning human behind the divider curtains and getting dressed. "Well not everyone is a air lord now are they." She giggles and responds quickly.
"Oh James, I didn't know you could suck your own dick and talk." She laughs and giggles.
I roll my eyes laughing back at the remark. "Hey if I could suck my own dick and talk that would have been a good party trick." She does seem to know how to curb me back. As me being egotistical can be rather unbearable, even I've been trying to break that habit.
Failing as ever.
