I could've been your demise,
Instead I became your life.
So scoop up and rely,
Only then can you try.
Want me or not,
I'll always stick around like a knot.
Knot that cannot untangle.
Yet it can always tangle.
I'm always there when you're in light.
Yet never seen when darkness at sight.
Sometimes I'm longer, sometimes short.
I'm not an elastic neither a cloth of any sort.
Yet you wonder what if I wasn't there.
Then listen well to know if you dare.
You'll cease to exist and disappear.
As without me no one will ever come near.
I'm a friend, loyal and dark.
You can see me but never mark.
I never speak nor see.
I am you and you're me.
