A/N Bold text is them texting or me adding a little blurb because why not.

Today was the first day we go back to prison. Or school, whatever you call it. It's also known as the day that everyone's soul dies. It was my first day of senior year, the last first day of high school I'll ever have to suffer through. That's a very good thing in my opinion. High school has always sucked for me because everyone likes to pick on the gay emo kid. (hOLy CrAp It JuSt StArTeD tHuNdErStOrMiNg AnD OhHhHhH It ScArEd Me) I only have two friends, and with my luck, neither of them are in any of my classes. My two best friends, Patrick Stump and Josh Dun, have been my best friends since kindergarten. Back in elementary school, i used to be the popular kid that literally every girl liked. Then in seventh grade I figured out that I like guys instead of girls and my spot on the social pyramid went from the top to the bottom.

Trick- if u dont get out here in 5 seconds im leaving

Ryro-hold on im coming

Trick-hurry up

I finished applying my "basic emo eyeliner" and ran out of the front door. My mom left me and my dad when I was three. My dad is either always at a bar getting drunk or is at home being drunk. I haven't seen my dad sober in a long time. If I'm being honest, Patrick's mom has been more of a parental figure than my own father.

"Took you long enough," Patrick mumbled as I jumped into his car.

"Sorry I woke up since I couldn't sleep last night."

"You should really talk to someone about your insomnia," he's always been way to concerned for my health.

"I'm fine Trick, are we getting Josh?" I asked changing the subject to avoid further conversation.

"Yeah Tyler had to be at his school early since he had some kind of student council meeting," Patrick explained Tyler lives across from Josh. They've been best friends since they can remember. Tyler goes to a private school downtown but he usually drives Josh to school because he drives right by our trash can of a school. After like a month of persuasion, Patrick and I finally convinced Josh to ask Tyler out. They're relationship goals. "You should still talk to someone about your insomnia. It's really not good to be getting barely any sleep."

"Dude, I keep trying to tell you I don't have insomnia. It's just that I DON'T GET NO SLEEP CAUSE OF YOU. YOU'RE NEVER GONNA SLEEP CAUSE OF ME!"

"It's to early for Vine references." I just chuckled and turned on the radio.

After a mild sing off, we finally pulled into Josh's driveway. As soon as Patrick parked the car, Josh came flying out of the door carrying a backpack in one hand and a rolled up pancake in the other. (Does anyone else do that? Just eat plain pancakes rolled up like a burrito? Just me? Ok. Also Stay Frosty came on shuffle.)

"Took you long enough," Josh mumbles through a mouthful of pancake, "hand over the eyeliner Stump."

"Why should I do that?"

"Because if you don't I'll tell your mom about that one time you got so drunk you jumped off our island screaming 'I'm gay.' Then when you landed on the floor, passed out and Ry and I had to carry you upstairs." Patrick immediately threw his eyeliner at Josh.

"You know, sometimes I wonder why I'm friends with you guys," I said sarcastically.

"Oh shut up Ross, you know you love us," Josh replied.

"But do you have anything to hold me by?" I asked.

He thought for a minute, "yes."

"Well......."

"I'm not gonna tell you," he explained, "cause if I ever need to use it against you, you'll already have come up with a way to defend it. See, somethings my logic actually makes sense."

"Screw you Jake."

"Both of you shut up I'm to tired for this," Patrick mumbled.

I just grumbled in response as our school came into view. Patrick pulled into a parking spot relatively close to the building and we all hopped out.

"Welcome to prison boys," I said as all three of us walked through the doors.

"I'm soooooo excited to be back. I can't wait to sit through boring classes that help my improve education to help provide me with a brighter future even though I won't use anything I learn in the real world!" Josh said sarcastically. (this is actually me though)

A wave of air conditioning hits us as we walk through the dimly lit hallways. Basically as soon as we walk in we see Sarah Orzechowski being pressed up against the blue lockers by Brendon Urie.

"You know, you'd think they'd have the decency to get a room," Patrick said raising his voice slightly at the end hoping that they would hear. They either couldn't hear or didn't care enough about the gay emos, which is highly unlikely. The three of us seem to attract all the negative attention from the populars.

"Hey guys, I missed you over the summer," Bob Breyer said walking up behind us. He is the leader of the popular jocks that love to beat us up.

"We didn't," Patrick replied snarkily.

"What was that Stump? Care to say it again?"

"Bob! Lay off, it's only the first day. We don't want to get kicked off the football team the first day back now do we?" Brent Wilson, another one of the jocks that loathes to beat us up, yelled over to Bob.

"I guess he's right. I'll have to make up for lost time later," he said before walking away.

"God, I hate him," Josh said after he had walked away.

"Who doesn't," I replied. I mean, he hates everyone that isn't popular so we can say that about him.

"You know Ry," Josh said, "You have excellent logic."

"Why thank you Joshua, I could say the same about yourself." (a/n I'd like to add in here that like all of this conversation is based off of what my best fren and I say to each other)

"You are very welcome, George."

"Don't call me George, you know I hate it," George is my father's name.

"Sorry Ry, got carried away with the formal names," Josh said as he was patting my back.

"S'okay."

We had to seperate to go to our lockers. Mine was 32213, (I'm sorry, I had to) I've had that locker since freshman year. It brings back so many "good" memories. Like that one time Bob and his crew stuffed me in it before school started and Josh and Patrick didn't find me until after school was let out. That was the day I vowed to never be at my locker alone.

A/N So, how was it? Trash right? This was originally over two thousand words but I felt like i needed to cut it off here. So, I already have the next chapter pre-written. That's good for me because I can be lazy and not have to write! So, the next chapter will be out next Wednesday unless otherwise notified. I'm not entirely sure how long this is going to be, but I want it to be a decent length. It's definitely going to be over twenty chapters. That's the only thing I can promise with this trash. Ok, thanks for reading! Bye!
