A/NI feel really bad about not updating yesterday so sorry. Also people actually ask for updates which just amazes me. So tysm. Also, read the a/n at the end.

I spun around on my heel to face Remington Leith. We played soccer together, but we weren't that close.

"Oh hey Remington, sure," I responded.

"Cool," he said walking to his car.

"Don't you have to take your brother home?" I asked.

"Emerson had art club after school today," he replied simply.

"Oh that's cool," I said just as we got to his car.

"Yeah, the kid really likes art," he said as he grabbed the car keys out of his black backpack.

We were from the same clique, but we had never had an actual conversation. He drove a matte black jeep that had completely black interior. He liked black.

"So I never asked you why you need a ride. So, why do you need a ride?" he asked me.

"Well, it's actually kind of a fun story," I said, "I'm apparently very stupid and decided to leave my car keys in my car instead of putting them in my bag like a normal person would."

"Oh, okay," Remington said, "so how are you going to get in your car?" he asked unlocking his Jeep.

"I have an extra set of keys that I can bring tomorrow and I'll just get  Spencer to pick me up since he owes me a ride," I explained once we were in his car.

"Oh okay," he replied as he slid the keys into the ignition causing his Jeep to roar to life.

"You still live where you did when we were kids right?" he asked as he pulled out of his parking spot and left campus.

"Yeah."

"So, are you excited for soccer season to start?" he asked, obviously trying to keep us from diving into an awkward silence.

"Um," I let out a nervous chuckle, "I can't exactly play for a week."

"What! Why?" he questioned.

"Well, I was in art and I was basically having a mental breakdown," I began.

"Why?" he asked, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," he said, obviously noticing the discomfort on my face. "I shouldn't have asked."

"No, it's okay," I reassured him,"Can I trust you not to tell anyone what I'm about to tell you?"

"Yeah of course man. That's what frens are for, right?" (that might be the wrong punctuation idk)

I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding and dove right into the story of my mental breakdown.

"So, Sarah and Dallon weren't at lunch, but I didn't really pay much attention to it. I walked to the bathroom just before the bell was about to ring for the end of sixth period. Sarah and Dallon hadn't been in either fifth or sixth period either. So, when I walked into the bathroom I heard them whispering. It was something along the lines of, 'Will Brendon find out? Nope because he's to oblivious to understand why you have been hating him for the past couple weeks.' I ran to the other bathrooms near the art room and sat there for like fifteen minutes bawling my eyes out. I eventually gave up and went to art. Mrs Fisher got really mad at me. Then I had to sit with Ryan Ross and some new kid named Kellin Quinn, who seems like a nobody, and Ross kept bugging me. I had enough of his pestering so I just got up and left. She came running after me and took me to Mr Armstrong's office and he told me I can't play lacrosse for a week."

"Woah," he said, obviously stunned by my story.

"Yeah, but the thing is our parents expect us to get married and have a ton of kids. I don't want to stay with her and she obviously doesn't want to be with me anymore either."

"How are you going to break up with her?" Remington asked.

"I still haven't figured that part out yet."

"Well, good luck man," he said.

"Thanks," I said, "I'll need it.

Remington had just pulled onto my street so I grabbed my bag and thanked him for the ride.

"It'll get better man," he said reassuringly, "I promise."

I gave him a weary smile and said, "thanks man."

He nodded his head at me and pulled away as I walked up to my front door. I grabbed my house keys out of my bag, which I didn't leave with my car keys, and unlocked the door to reveal a completely empty house.

"Honey! I'm home!" I sang in an annoying tone.

I stalked into the kitchen to grab an apple and head up to the cave of darkness called my room.

I threw my backpack onto my bed and rolled onto it. I figured my homework could wait until later, so I turned on my TV and started to watch Netflix.

About halfway through the movie I was watching my mom came home and interrupted the tranquility of the empty house.

"Brendon!" she screamed from downstairs, "come here!"

I rolled off of my mound of blankets and made my way downstairs as slow as possible.

"Yes mom," I groaned.

"Help me with dinner," she demanded.

"But I have to do my homework," I argued.

"Your homework can wait. I need help now," she said. (literally my mom)

"Fine," I grumbled in defeat.

After I had finished helping her cut various things, including slightly injuring my finger because I'm a uncoordinated kid, I went back to my cave of darkness.

I did homeowrk for an hour and when I was finished, I got my phone outo to text Spencer and ask him for a ride.

Beebo- gimmie a ride tomorrow morning

Spence- y

Beebo- cause i'm stupid and left my keys in my car this morning

Spence- only if you tell me what happened in art

Beebo- ...

Spence- do you want a ride or no

Beebo- fine

Beebo- basically sarah is cheating on me with dallon and i can't play soccer for a week

Spence- seriously?!?!?

Beebo- yep

Spence- i'll be there tomorrow

Beebo- cool, thanks

A/N I feel really bad about not updating so I'm doing this instead of my algebra homework. Also I'm moving update days to Thursday because it works better with my schedule. Thank you guys so much for reading this!
