Athena Grace sat in a secluded room by herself.
After they she had been bombarded by the capitol's paparazzi she was sent to a room to await her prep team.
The Capitol had gone into an uproar after the appearance of Athena the 'Capitol's Princess'. Athena didn't wave or gush to the raging crowd, she didn't greet the reporters or answer their questions.
She simply smirked, tilting her head higher in defiance and strode straight through the middle of them all. This sent the crowd screaming, they absolutely adored her. All of the other districts too adored her, she was an icon for revelation against the Capitol and a spectacular person herself.
After her games, the death of her only ally had sent her into shock. Athena shook her head, the had tried to wipe her mind from her, but she just couldn't. Daisy had not only been Athena's ally, but the twelve -year old District 6 tribute has been her friend. A close friend, someone she had sworn to protect, they had shared a sister-like bond.
Athena put her head into her hands.
Coming back to the Capitol only brought back bad memories. Coming back to the Capitol brought back memories of death, she could remember all fifteen faces. The tributes she had killed forever lingered in her mind.
Daisy's death, forever lingered in her mind. She could still remember the utter devastation, loss, rage, sadness and fury she had felt when she discovered her friend's mangled corpse in the cave. The careers thought it was a cruel joke. Athena made sure they regretted that immensely.
