Riker's POV

I woke up the the morning and noticed that Rayne was still asleep with her head on my chest and her arms wrapped around me.  She had a slight smile on her face as she slept, and I just hoped that I had something to do with it being there.  I leaned down and kissed the top of Rayne's head, then I just laid my head back and waited for her to wake up.

After about 30 minutes, Rayne started to move around, so I knew she was waking up.  She sat up and smiled at me, then leaned over and gave me a quick kiss on the lips.  "Hey, is that all I get after I let you use me as a pillow all night last night?" I asked her and gave her a cute pouty face.  She laughed and said "That's all you get while we both have morning breath.  I promise, after we get up and brush our teeth, I will thank you properly for being my pillow all night."  Immediately, I jumped off the couch and started to run upstairs.  "Where are you going?" she asked, laughing at me as I almost tripped on the bottom step.  "Upstairs to brush my teeth so I can get my 'Thank-you kiss.  I don't want you to forget." I said then ran up the stairs.

Raynes POV

As Riker ran upstairs, I whispered "Don't worry, I won't forget" as I stood up and folded the blanket Riker had put over us last night.

"Won't forget what?" I heard Rydel ask as she walked into the living room.  I jumped and turned to look at her.  "You scared me!  I didn't know you were there." I said as I sat back down on the couch.  "I just came down.  I passed Riker on the stairs, and he was in a hurry.  Then when I came down, I heard you whisper something about not forgetting.  What don't you want to forget?" Rydel asked me as she took the spot beside me on the couch.

"Oh, just that Riker promised to teach me how to play his bass sometime.  I really want to learn." I told her as I looked down at my hands.  I didn't want her to know that I had promised to kiss her brother.  I mean, she knew I liked him, but I wasn't sure how she would feel about it.

"Well," Rydel replied, "I'm sure that Riker will be glad to teach you how to play bass.  He really enjoys it, and he would love to have something to share with you.  So, as a change of subject, what do you have planned for today?  I think the boys had planned to play hockey, and I don't want to go so I was hoping that you and I could do something."

"Well, I do have a project to work on at home, but I would love to have your input on it." I told her, happy to be off the topic of me and Riker. "My mom and Evan let me and my brothers all pick out new bedroom furniture yesterday, and we also get to decorate our rooms any way we want to.  I picked out a new bed, but I can't decide how I want to decorate my room.  The only thing I know is that I want blue.  Other than that, I am stuck."

"OMG, that will be so fun!" Rydel yelled as she jumped up.  "First, we need make a list of the things you like, then we need to go to the paint store and the craft store, and the mall.  But maybe before that, we can go online and look for ideas then see what we can find locally that would work."  I started laughing at her because she was talking so fast, I could barely understand her.  "Rydel, slow down.  We have plenty of time.  I have a few ideas, so maybe you can help me choose one.  Then we can go to the stores and get what we need.  Maybe your mom and my mom can go with us and help."

"That's a great idea." Rydel said and started walking out of the living room.  "I'll go ask my mom right now if she wants to help.  She did all our rooms, and she really enjoys stuff like that."  Rydel ran upstairs and I just sat down on the couch and put my head in my hands.  I could tell that I would need some kind of energy kick if I was going to keep up with Rydel all day.  Maybe we could start off at Starbucks so I could get a iced coffee fix.  As I was sitting there, I heard someone coming down the stairs.  I raised my head to see who it was, and someone behind me put their hands over my eyes.  "Guess who" they whispered in my ear.  "Is it Riker?" I guessed.  "Yep, got it in one" Riker said as he uncovered my eyes and jumped over the back of the couch to land beside me.
