Rayne's POV
After I talked to Stormie, I ran upstairs to get ready to go shopping. I went into Rydel's room, and she was sitting on her bed looking at her phone. When I walked in, she looked up and smiled. "So, how long til you are ready to go?" I sighed and said "Well, since I took a shower last night before my date, I just have to wash my face and get dressed. So, probably about 15 minutes. I just hope my mom picked out a great shopping outfit, or it's gonna take even longer."
I walked into the bathroom and put my bag on the counter. I washed my face and brushed my teeth again, then took off my sleep clothes and pulled out the outfit that my mom had packed for me. When I opened the bag, I saw that the outfit was gonna be perfect. My mom had picked out a pair of high-waisted white shorts and a blue t-shirt with a white tiger face on it. She had also packed my blue Converse and my blue and silver sunglasses. In my jewelry pouch, my mom had packed my silver cuff bracelets and my silver earrings that were made of silver chains with blue crystals at the end of each chain. I quickly got dressed, then I packed my dirty clothes in the bag and walked out of the bathroom. Rydel was at her closet putting her shoes on. She was wearing a hot pink t-shirt with a pair of black shorts, as well as her pink Converse. She had on black, pink and silver bracelets and a pair of pink and black earrings. After she got her shoes on, she grabbed her pink sunglasses off her desk. "Are you ready?" she asked. "Yep." I replied. "But before we go, can I ask you something?" "Sure," she said. "What's up?"
"Well, when your brother was leaving for his game, he said that he had something he wanted to ask me later. Do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing?"
"Oh, I definitely think it's a good thing." Rydel said as she hugged me. "But before you ask me what it's about, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you that I won't say anything. Whatever it is, Riker wants it to be a surprise, so it needs to remain one."
"OK, I'll take your word for it. But just know that if it turns out to be something bad, I'm gonna come over and take all of your Hello Kitty items and hide them." Rydel looked at me with a shocked look on her face, then she just shrugged her shoulders, grabbed my hand and together we walked down the stairs.
When we got downstairs, I saw that my mom had already arrived, and she and Stormie were in the kitchen. Rydel and I walked into the kitchen, and I walked over and leaned against the counter beside my mom while Rydel sat on the counter beside Stormie. "So," I asked everyone, "where should we start shopping today?" "First, we need to figure out how you want to decorate your room, then we can figure out where we need to go" Stormie said as she pulled a notepad out of the desk in the kitchen. We all sat down at the table. "I know I want the colors blue and white, and maybe some silver." I said and Stormie wrote that down. "Do you know what kind of furniture you want in your room?" my mom asked me. "Well. I picked out my bed already, so now I need a new dresser, and I would really like a desk, a chair, and maybe a TV cabinet if that's ok." I said as I looked at my mom. "That's fine with me." Mom said.
Rydel had been looking on her laptop that was on the table, and suddenly she turned the computer so we could all see what she was looking at. "Here's a store that has some great furniture, and they are having a sale so you can maybe use the money you save to pick out some accessories for your room." I looked through the things the store had, and I knew that this is where I wanted to shop. "I love these things. If there is one of these stores close to here, I think I would like to shop here." I told everyone. Rydel took the laptop back and after a few seconds, she looked up and said "We're in luck. There's one of these stores at the new mall that just opened up int he next town. It should take us about 30 minutes to get there, and it says that they offer free delivery, or we can pick up the furniture ourselves. So we could go here, pick out what furniture and other things you want, then go by the paint store on the way home. Then next weekend when the boys are around, we can have them take your old furniture out and put the new stuff in when it gets delivered. Or theys can go pick it up for you, whichever we want to make them do." Rydel said the last part with a smile.
