The New Beginning

The Day part 2

Yugi's POV

Well we walked hand in hand and everyone smiled at us. I have never felt so relieved in my entire life. Tea wasn't there, but I had a feeling she wasn't going to show up. Joey, Tristan, Duke, Mai, Seto and Bakura were there. I can tell that they had been talking about this and I am sure that Joey had told them that Atem had came back since he's the one who found him when he first came back.

"Well it's about time! We all knew this before this was even a thing! I have always shipped this but I never thought I would see the day come!' Duke had said with so much excitement and he also had the biggest smile on his face. When he said that both Atem and I blushed. This made me happy that they weren't going to judge and that they were actually happy for us.

"Guys you have no idea how happy we are for you. I know this has been a very long and hurtful road, but you guys did it and made it. Now you guys have the chance to be happy and together. We are happy to part of this new adventure and also super happy to have both of our best pals back. Finally completed." Joey had said while his voice cracked. He has been there for me when I have been lost and down. He has never once left my side when he knew I was extremely heart broken from losing Atem many years ago. He has been there through think and thin. 

"I am so excited and I agree with Joey and Duke. I'm so happy that you both get to live the life you both want and to be happy. I'm just glad that Yugi won't be moping around all day everyday anymore. I didn't like seeing you like that and I am sure you felt the same way Atem. I am just happy that we are all together!" Tristan said while he gave Atem and I a hug. It's so nice to hear things like this from our friends. Atem was right... We didn't have anything to worry about. 

"Hmm yeah we're all super happy about this. Can we just celebrate already and eat? We're all thrilled and all but I don't want to hear anymore sappiness." Seto said while he winked at me. I know how he is and he is happy for us. He has seen me at my very worst and he's always been there for me. It's nice to know that we have an actual friendship. Took long enough.

"Thank you all for being so supportive and thank you all for being here for me when I was going through all of this. You all never gave up on me. Not once. I am so grateful for that and I am so lucky to have you all in my life." I was sad thinking that Tea wasn't going to show up or worse never talk to her again. I mean she was annoying me, but it was because she was forcing herself on me. I love her as friend though and I always will. I just hope she comes around some day. 

"I am incredibly thankful for all of you being here for my Yugi while I was gone. I can never thank you all enough for being here for him and not leaving him alone. I am also glad to be back to all you. I have missed you all so much." Atem had said while he was squeezing my hand. Things are falling into place exactly how I've always wanted it. It seems too good to be true though. Is this all a dream? 

I had dozed off into my thoughts and Atem shook me. He knew something was up, but he didn't know what was wrong. I can see the worry in his eyes... "Yugi, what's wrong love?" Atem had said with so much worry in his tone. All I wanted to do was to cry. So many good things are happening... Usually when something is going right something bad is going to happen. Then again maybe I am thinking way too much. I am just so scared I am going to lose everything that I have always wanted. 

"I I..'m sccaarred. What if I am going to lose you again? Like this is all too good to be true... Is there a price to pay for you to stay here? Like I can't imagine losing you all over again.. I I.. cann'ttt.. Noott agaiin..." I had said while I was digging my face into Atem's chest and he was stroking my back trying to calm me down. "Sushh sussh, it's going to be okay dear. Nothing is going to come in the way to take me away from you. I won't let it happen. You have now worries. I promise." He said while he hugged me tightly.

I wish this fear of losing him again would go away...
