When the weekend had come to a close and Noah left to go back to his college, I told Bella everything.
She freaked out, obviously.
"So you kissed him back?" She asked after pacing the room.
I nodded, shamefully.
She pondered for a moment. "Well, you were drunk. I'm sure you didn't mean to. It's a natural instinct to kiss someone back when they kiss you." She said, pleased with her hypothesis.
It did make sense. I used to kiss Jack all the time, it only felt natural to kiss back this time. Plus, the alcohol was a factor.
"Yeah, that makes sense." I said.
"I always do." She said, settling back on her bed.
"Did you tell Noah that you kissed him back?" She asked, nervously.
"No," I said, guilty.
She nodded. "I think its better that you don't." She responded. "As long as you guys don't kiss again, then I think its okay to not tell him."
I nodded in agreement. It was better that I didn't tell Noah that. I didn't want to be with Jack, but I couldn't deny that I did kiss him back.
My phone buzzed in my lap, I picked it up and instantly felt a lump in my throat.
jack we need to talk
"What's wrong?" Bella asked, analyzing my face.
"Um, Jack said we need to talk." I hesitated.
Bella rolled her eyes. "Tell that muthafucka no!" She said, obviously annoyed by the boys advances.
I hesitated. Maybe it would be better to talk it out with him. Let him know that he crossed a line and that Noah knew what had happened.
"I'm gonna meet up with him." I said.
"Are you crazy? You have the hottest piece of ass ever, who by the way asked you to stay away from Jack, and now you're gonna go see him?!" She asked.
She was right. I had totally forgotten about my promise to Noah to stay away from him. Noah is the most beautiful man I'd ever met and I would never want to throw it away for Jack. Still, I knew I needed to talk it out to feel better about it all.
"I know, I know. I just think I'll feel better if I talk to him." I explained. "I need to lay down boundaries and I need to tell him that we can't have any sort if relationship anymore." I said.
Bella sighed. "Alright, I support you. But what if Noah finds out?" She asked.
I shrugged. "I'll tell him the truth. That i'm gonna tell Jack to stay away from me."
