I woke up to the sound of thunder. I rolled over in the bed and yawned. I opened my eyes and rubbed them.
I was instantly startled when I saw Jack changing across the room. All of the memories of last night came back to me.
Noah and Amelia. Me cuddling with Jack. Oh brother.
"Hey, you're up." Jack said when he noticed me in a daze.
"Yeah." was all I could force out of my course throat.
"I think you need to talk to Noah today." He said, throwing a shirt on over his chest. "I can drive you there." He offered.
I groaned at the thought. I love Noah but I really didn't want to talk to him, because then it would all be real.
"I had Bella bring over clothes for you this morning. I know you didn't want to talk about it with her, but you can't go talking to Noah in my sweats." He said.
He refrenced me wearing his clothes like it was a dirty little secret. A thought formed in my mind that maybe me sleeping over with Jack last night was almost as bad as what Noah had done. I quickly pushed it away. I needed support last night and Noah didn't give that to me, I had no place to feel bad. Right?
Jack handed me the pile of clothes and once Jack turned around, I slipped them on.
After getting dressed, I checked my phone for the first time today. I had a million missed texts and calls from Noah. All explaining what happened and how bad he felt. In all of his texts he went on an on about how Amelia came onto him and he was really drunk.
I wanted to believe him so bad. But what would happen if he got drunk at another party and I didn't catch him? Would he just make out with whoever?
Jack forced me into his car after I got ready. I was drenched from the rain already, but I didn't mind. I was too numb to care much about anything.
I texted Noah that I was going back to get my car and my bag of clothes from his dorm. He only responded with an 'Okay'
Jack pulled up to Noah's dorm room. Jack looked over at me.
"Here we are." He whispered.
I let out a deep sigh.
"You got this. Just please, talk to him." He pleaded. "But if things go south, I can always pick you up." He offered.
"Thank you, Jack." I said, tears forming in my eyes. "For everything." I leaned over the middle console and hugged Jack. It felt nice that he was supporting me without ulterior motives.
"Of course, Soph." He said, rubbing my back.
I pulled away from him and wiped a tear from my eye.
