Clary POV

When we got back to the Institute Alec guided me upstairs towards his room. Juast as we neared Alec's room we heard the annoying giggle of Kaelie and heared her say,

"Look here Jaceyboo that slut you used to date already has a boy toy." Jace laughed at this and nodded.

Alec then stopped in his tracks, went towards Kaelie and slapped her. Hard. Jace started yelling profanities at Alec on how he should be Parabatai and not slap his girlfriend.

Alec then chuckled dryly and said," Seriously Jace! You're agreeing with her when she's the slut who was fucking you when she knew you were taken! And don't you dare bring us being Parabatai into this! Look at what you did to Clary! LOOK AT HER YOU PRICK!!!" Jace then looked towards me in shame of what he did to me. I felt so weak and helpless in this situation.

Alec then continued to yell at Jace but I spaced out during his speech. At the very end I was brought back into reality when he said,"-me and Clary aren't screwing each other by the way, tell your 'girlfriend' that will you. Me and Clary will me in my room. Goodbye Jace." And with that we left and continued towards Alec's room.

There was a moment of silence before Alec pulled me into a hug and starting whispering that he was sorry about that.I pulled out of his embrace and put my finger to his lip.

"Thank you, Alec. For everything. You didn't have to do anything for me but you still did. So thank you a million times thank you for everything that you've done for me." I told him and for the first time that day I smiled. THE Alec Lightwood made me smile. He then smiled too.

We talked for a bit and blah, blah, blah. It was nice. Alec made me forget about Jace and then the moment was ruined by-guess who-walking through the door. The one and only, ISABELLE LIGHTWOOD!! Thought it would be Jace? Wrong! She then ran over and hugged me.4.

She told me,"I'm so,so,so,so,SO sorry about what Jace did. He is a total douchey jackass. I promise I will will help you though this we'll go shopping tomorrow to get you mind off him and I already beat his ass thats how i knew you were here. But now i see you look busy I'll just leave now." And then she went out as suddenly as she came in.

 

Me and Alec then looked at each other and went into a laughing fit. We were laughing so hard we rolled and fell off his bed. And guess what? He ended up on top of me. We looked into each other's eyes and started to lean in but we're interrupted again by...
