“You know.. I wish that I could see the surface again.. With you and everyone here in the underground..”“Hehe.. Me too kid.. Me too..”
You snapped out of the makeshift bed you created, sweat dripping down your forehead as your heart started to pound harshly against your chest, heavily breathing as you removed the covers on top of your shaking form.
What was that? You thought, trying to remember what happened.
It wasn't a nightmare, that's for sure considering you weren't really frightened and you don't remember anything in your dreams jumping at you or anything, just plain black like a void and heard voices speaking.. But the subject they spoke of was another thing you couldn't remember.
You've been in a hospital all your life and you were sure that you weren't diagnosed with amnesia, or Alzheimer. You were just sick in the head like many people are.
Realizing how hot the inside of he tent was, you went out,the smell of fresh air slapping you across the face as you felt the soft grass beneath your feet. With eyes closed as you savored this wonderful and quiet moment, it only took you a second to realize you weren't alone.“Chara I swear to god stop looking at me like you're some stalker or shit.”
“Well good morning to you too.” You snapped your eyes open, shocked to hear such a deep yet soothing voice.
You turned your head to the person, only to find your assumptions wrong. This person you spoke of wasn't near anything human-like.
He was short but he appeared to be a few inches taller than you, sockets replacing his eyes and white pinpricks replacing his pupils, he wore a dark jacket that had white stripes running down on either sides of the sleeves that matched his black shorts, though his attire seemed cool, his footwear was merely nothing but a pair of pink fluffy slippers that you snorted at.
“What? Can't find any shoes to fit your style?” You teased, obviously amused as the skeleton stared at you with a glare, his pinpricks not meeting yours but something around your waist.
He never answered your question, only turning to the small child beside him and lifting them up with what seemed like a blue aura, the gesture he made making your heart fasten with what seemed to be excitement and/or fear.
“So, Chara, mind telling me why she's wearing my jacket?” The monster asked with a threatening tone in his voice, eye flaring blue that made you grin wider than before.
This... Skeleton intrigued you. Despite not knowing his name you wanted to know how much pain he can inflict to another. He seemed dangerous.. He looked dangerous with that eye.And boy you wanted to have that kind of power.
“So.. Mr. Skeleton.”
“Sans.”
“Right,” You rolled your eyes before pointing directly at his eye. “Mind telling me how you got that?”
“What?” Chara glared, annoyed at the question. “That's dumb! You're not even supposed to ask that!”
“Quiet you little shit.” You growled as Sans put the small child down in a not-so-gentle manner. “I didn't ask you.”
“Give 'em a break, they're nothing but a child. Now, I suggest you hand the jacket over before anything gets rough.” Sans says, his one eye the same shade of blue as the aura he used to lift Chara before. You mentally grinned, wanting to test how much this poor skeleton could last in the hands of someone like you. And how much pain he can make you feel that will be painful enough for you to scream 'bloody murder'.
“You two arent supposed to be fight—” Chara was cut off when a bone tore through the dirt and grass and almost hit her, a few centimeters and she would've been impaled. Sans had his hand raised in a snapping position.
“That much anger for only a jacket?” You pushed, excited to see what more can this magic skeleton do.
“Might only be a jacket to you but it has sentimental value to me.” You stuck your tongue out in disgust, hating the word 'sentimental'. You weren't an emotional person, and coming across the word after long years of not being able to function properly felt unusual to you.“What? Poor mommy gave this to you right before she died?”
“Do not speak of my mother that way.”
As a fight was about to engage, you felt someone pull you downward as the jacket on your waist disappeared, a gasp of shock escaping your mouth as you fell on your butt and saw what looked like another version of Chara had the blue clothing in their hands, lifting it up to the skeleton who grabbed it carefully, showing a rip in the jacket's sleeve.
He seemed to have frozen in his place as he saw the rip, like he was being reminded of something. But you could care less, you were angry.. If that child hadn't interfered then you would've seen—
“Hey!” Chara yelled in your ear making you flinch from the suddenly loudness. Her hand pinching your earlobe and pulling on it as she continued to yell. “What the hell was that about huh?! I thought I told you to keep your damn temper!?”“You didn't tell me a thing okay?! Now stop pulling on my ear—”
You could fee yourself being pulled up by some unknown force and as you turned your head to look at Sans and the twin child, you saw him with one hand raised, a bored look on his face as he dragged the both of you to a red car.
No words were shared as he dropped you on the front seat, Chara and their twin sitting on the passenger seats behind you two before locking the door.It was a quiet drive, two hours passing by and none of you were home yet, your (e/c) eyes staring out the window with a bored expression when you felt something on your knee. Your head turned and eyes casting downwards seeing Sans' hand lying there.
You didn't question it.
Besides. Something about it felt.. Different.
Meh..
You were probably just tired..
(A/n: Lol I ain't ded xD just busy haha. Your first impression with him isn't so great but things will get better tho.. (If I update soon) halp)
