"As if his mind was in a different dimension..."

Jungkook's P.O.V

When we arrived at the amusement park, panting,  may I add, most of the people were leaving. Happy families and smiling children, a nice atmosphere.

I'm quickly and literally pulled out of my thoughts as Taehyung tugs on my hand once more.

What's wrong with this guy pulling me everywhere he goes?

"To the rollercoaster!" He grinned childishly.

God no...

"Actually... I'm scared of h-heights."

Expecting him to laugh at my childish fears, he grinned even wider almost splitting his face in half.

"Me too."

This guy is definitely crazy.

After climbling into the seats of the terrifying  ride and buckling down, I breathed in deeply to calm my frantic nerves, then looked over at Taehyung who seemed fairly calm.

Fisting my hands until my knuckles turned white, I prepared myself for the torturous ride. Cold sweat ran down my back and I nibbled on my lips nervously.

A felt a big warm hand covering mines and jolted in my spot.

"Calm down Kookie, it'll be okay."

Just as I found reassurance in his words, the ride jerked forward and started moving along the trail steadily, soon enough it was full on speeding.
I clutched the fabric of my clothes tightly as I felt nausea building up in my stomach.

I felt Taehyung gripping onto my arm tightly, either to reassure me or himself. Seemingly it wasn't working for either of us.

Just as the ride was over, I finally came to my senses and realized that I was practically clinging to Taehyung.

Pink tinted my cheeks as I release his arm awkwardly.
"S-sorry."

We got off the ride and decided that we'd just grab snacks and call it a night.

_______

"So Jungkook, what do you do for a living? Like career or hobby wise?"
Taehyung asked as we walked side by side in the direction of my house eating cotten candy.

"Well, I work at a café a few blocks away with my friend Jin."

"Oh, that's pretty cool."

"Cool? How is that cool?"

"Because you get to work with a friend I guess."

I ponder at his words and think about all the looks they give me at work whenever Jin and I talk.
They never looked at Jin as if he was strange, it was always me.
It was always as if, I did something wrong, some of them going as far as to mock me publicly. I still don't know why they treat me like that. But as long as Jin is with me, I'll be fine.

I'll be fine...

"Jungkook?"

I forgot that I was walking with Taehyung.

"O-oh, sorry, it's just that.. I'm a deep thinker."

"Oh, so you're one of them space cadets?"
I saw a slight smirk building on his perfectly imperfect face.

"Yah! I'm no space cadet."

"That's not what that expression you were wearing says. You looked like a dumb blond."

"Yea yea.."

I realized that we made it to my house and decided to tell Taehyung goodnight.

"Anyways, I'm home now so I'll just  talk to you late-"
My words are cut off when he places a soft kiss on my face.

"I had fun with you tonight. Goodnight" he said winking at me.

Finally catching up with what just happened, I flushed and nodded dumbly  before rushing off inside.

My back leaned against the door as I replayed the scene in my head.

W-what...just happened?
