The Many Worlds of Alexander Roberts

Chapter Three: History

If you haven't figured it out yet, Alex had just fell into an interdimensional portal after seeing himself from another dimension. This was the same "special package" being transported by Winston (The guy from the prologue) Now the Earth Winston lived in was different from Alex's, a universe completely identical to Earth. Well, except for one tiny detail. 

The history of Winston's earth (Which we will call Dark Earth for the sake of confusion) played out very different from Alex's Earth (which we will call Perfect Earth) 

It all began during the second World War. Adolf Hitler wasn't the leader of Germany in World War Two. He was an expert assassin, enhanced by an unamed government scientist. He single highhandedly destabilized the governments of many of the Allies' greatest nations. His improved mind lead him to invent high tech weapons that made Germany unstoppable. Hitler used his unstoppable power to make himself and his allies superhuman dictators. World War Two was an easy victory, and soon the whole World was under the control of Machting, or loosely translated, Power. 

After failing to prolong his life unnaturally, however, Hitler left his research on interdimensional travel to his son. Hitler had plans to expand to other dimensions, and his son continued his fathers dream. 

For years the Machting had an iron grip on the world until some of the world's greatest leaders formed a secret rebellion, which fought back against the Machting with small victories from time to time. 

 Now there came a time when Winston, the Rebellion's most elite agent, received an item of dire importance, which could lead to the destruction of the entire universe if found by the Germans.  He was tasked with transporting it into the German countryside and destroying it. However, the Machting found out and sent their most deadly assassin, Adolf Hitler's great great great grandon, William Adolft Hitler, or as he was called by many, Adolf Hitler. In a desperate attempt to destroy it, Winston accidentally activated a portal, transporting him to Perfect Earth. From there he took the portal again back to Dark Earth. For weeks he lay low, watching.  Waiting. He thought his mission was complete and the Machting had no way to gain access to the portal. 

Turns out the Portal had other ideas. When it comes to doppelgangers, Portals like to transport them to each other, as if to spread the word that multiple universes exist. this is the exact circumstance that occurred when Perfect  Earth Alex and a certain OTHER Alex fell into the portal. The portal transported them directly to their nearest doppelganger. And that is where out story begins...
